ReplyDeleteShe does seem to have Paranoid schizophrenia or something of the sort. I hope that her loved ones will help her get suitable healthcare so she can be properly diagnosed and treated. I feel for her.
DeleteAll the people i know who have schizophrenia always think that God is constantly speaking to them. And he always tells them to do strange stuff.
One was a roommate and just like Cynthia, hers seemed to have been set off by heartbreak.
13.54: I learnt about that affliction but didnt understand it till I saw it in HOUSE MD. Its very scary to see and even more scary to imagine. They live in a world of their own, hearing voices and seeing things and acting on those things. Truly needs proper medication and rehabilitation and Gods Grace.

ReplyDeleteA few years ago, I was almost loosing it. I was rich, kind and helpful, with no boundaries. People DEALT with me. I became a shadow of myself, struggling to pay my bills.
I started hallucinating, having sleepless nights and growing confused about doing simple basic things. I was at the end of myself and would snap at everything. When I sit, I would talk talk talk about everything and nothing. People started avoiding me.
I don’t know what it was, but one day, a voice told me to leave Nigeria and I obeyed. The battle to leave Nigeria na another thing. Story for another day, but it was obvious I was fighting something. I had to steal a family members money given to me to keep, to process my visa. When I got there, I sent a long email apologising to them. They were angry initially but now they’ve forgiven me because they can see the improvements in my life. God also blessed them too, that’s period.
Same voice told me to change my number and I obeyed. Same voice told me cut off my old friends and I obeyed. Same voice told me to get off social media and I did, for a long time.
It’s been 5 years now and hmm… even I can’t believe the things I’ve achieved. I’ve passed certifications I failed before. I have a very good job and several recruiters coming to offer me job positions. When the CEO of a big multinational sent me a DM on LinkedIn asking to connect because it would be mutually beneficial, I knelt down and wept. Me?? This me?? Wey dem dey laugh say I don crash?
Ex friends who wrote me off are constantly in my DMs famzing. I don’t answer them. Na only God know the spirits they carried and brought into my life that made me almost lose and lose everything I own.
Please, if you have bright star, be very careful who you let in your life. If you no sabi do juju, praaaay. Don’t eat it just anyone’s house, don’t allow just anyone sleep at yours. They can steal your underwear and go and do jazz. If you have plenty, how you go know which one don loss? Don’t mingle with just anyone.
I am the one the Lord showed mercy. I pray Cynthia gets divine mercy too. Honestly, na my mama prayers save me. I believe so.
