Reality TV Star Doyin says she cannot marry a man that cannot afford the services of a cook.
She revealed this while speaking at a recent episode of her podcast; Doyin's Corner', with Twitter Critic, Daniel Regha as Guest.
While discussing on Gender based roles and if Cooking was a role that was kept exclusively for the wife, Daniel Regha opined that cooking was a role everyone should have, but a wife should know how to cook so she can pass down the skill to her kids.
In reaction, Doyin stated that she would have a cook when she gets married but when Daniel reminded her that the future wasn't certain as she might end up with a man that can't afford the services of a cook cook, Doyin said
"I agree that it's a basic life skill but still you are saying, 'Oh, you want to be able to tell your kids; oh go to the kitchen', what if you don't need that, what if you have...I hope that I will have a cook when I get married.
Not that I hope, I will have a cook when I get married for sure, Not MAY, I will HAVE somebody that will cook and clean.
You can't tell me how I would live my life, Life will not happen, my husband better be in that financial situation to afford it.
I am not gonna marry a man that cannot afford a cook.
If I marry a man who loses his source of income, am sure by then, we would have saved up enough money to get a cook because am going to be working, there's no way am coming back from work then am going to start cooking and cleaning, that's not gonna happen''.
