Pastor Femi Emmanuel Reveals One Reason Nigerians Should Not 'Japa

Pastor Emmanuel Femi, the general overseer of Living spring Chapel International has given a last piece of advice to Nigerians intending to relocate abroad for greener pastures.

Speaking during one of his services, he admonished anyone who is considering to 'japa' abroad because of greener pastures to abort the plan because he is subjecting his generations to untold slavery.
In his words:
"I have spoken too much on Japa; I am not going to speak about it again.
But to let you know, if anybody had Japaed or wants to Japa so that you can make it, so that you can feed, so that you can stop suffering,so that you can make money, you have made a fundamental mistake if your life, which you and your generation will regret forever; your generation that you took into slavery will regret it forever.
Now, if you Japa; if you relocate for Education; good, If you Japa for training;Good; acquire skill so that you can come back and do it better, Good, If you Japa for conferences, for trade, for business, If you Japa because God said your purpose of living is there, is connected to Canada,to UK, to US, that is the reason you are traveling;Good.
But if it is to eat or Nigeria is tough to make money, that is why you are relocating, it pains me for you because the grass is not greener at the other side".

  7. Odiegwu..By God's Grace, I will never have cause to regret leaving that country with my family. Those that say don't japa bcos of slavery, are we being treated any better by our government. And where do people get this idea that leaving makes u loose your identity. I can't argue with someone who has a 3 square meal, roof over his head, possibly constant power supply, security and can access any country of his choice. Back home, our situation seemed hopeless. Ha!! Me like this wey every immediate family member including my parents and inlaws don japa. What I have achieved would I have done that back home?Thank you Jesus

    1. You dey mind him. Nigerians are even being treated worse in their own country than the country they japa'ed to. You have constant light, good infrastructure, and so far as you are hardworking, you'll never lack.

  9. The ethnic discrimination that I experienced in Nigeria is worse than the ‘slavery’ that I am experiencing. My Parents were against leaving Nigeria…they schooled in Canada and returned to Nigeria. My dad lost his job in NIFOR because he was not a Bini man. Before my dad passed, his biggest regret was returning to Nigeria. I will never return!

  11. Sir, don't worry about who would pay you pastors tithes as there are many people left in Nigeria to do that. Leave the Japaed alone. God bless you.

  12. Nigerian pastors like to control their followers. What is your business with someone else's child that wants to Japa. Mind your own children and grandchildren. Leave people alone to make the decision best for them
