  1. The hope and joy of any parent, is for your child to finish school, be gainfully employed, and take care of themselves and be useful to society.
However, sadly, in our country today, parents labor to train a child through school, and after NYSC, the parents are still housing, feeding and spending on the child. This is due in part, to the wretched state of our economy, lack of good jobs, as well as young people who are overly dependent on their certificates and averse to thinking outside the box....
Dear parents/guardians, help your kids learn skills, discover/hone their talents and encourage them to think beyond their certificates and be innovative!
    Have an amazing week y'all..❤️..

    4. God will bless you for this message, amen. Till today, I still enjoy puff puff, cup cakes et al from children of a woman I advised. During one of their breaks, I told her to send her daughters to learn skills. One chose pastry making and the other chose fashion design. Their mother thanks me all the time. The plus in the whole thing is that they each taught all their family members how to bake and make wears.

  2. So,I saw lots of arguments on Facebook prior to the Amvca between A tribe called Judah and Breathe of life. They kept arguing that a Tribe called Judah has no moral lessons while BOF is full of lessons. To be honest, I really find it laughable, is a movie now judged on whether there is moral lessons in it or not? All the American and Korean movies we watch, what do we actually learn from it? Most of these movies are just for entertainment. Someone even said BOF is more churchy and I just laughed. The arguments was just too much,at a point I had to ask someone "all the moral lessons you've been seeing in movies from childhood till now,how has it shaped you or the society? Films are produced for different purposes, it shouldn't be about moral lessons, there are many criteria used to judge a film. ATCJ has lots of hidden lessons if you are able to look pass the comedy, the lessons in it are not spelt out,it takes a mature mind to spot out the hidden themes in it.Another argument was that BOF has international standards while ATCJ was for the local people, seriously!!. Must every movie now be of international standards before they can be recognised as a quality or great film? Funke was nominated for best actress, i don't understand what the comparison is with BOL,bcos Breathe of life had no nomination for that category! I'm happy for Kehinde bankole, I've always wanted to see her win,she is such a good actress but at the same time I felt that category belonged to Funke, her potrayal in ATCJ as a kidney patient was not an easy role to execute and she nailed it perfectly. I've watched Kehinde in better movies that she deserved to win other than this Adire. Even if Funke didn't win that category, she should have been given some sort of recognition as the Queen of box office rather than totally snubbing her, That is the first time a film is reaching 1billion,its no joke, her marketing was top notch,Amvca should have recognised her even if she didn't clinch the best act category. And to be real honest, I will choose ATCJ over BOL anyday, anytime, and I've watched it over and over again.I watched BOL once and it seems so unrealistic to me. ATCJ has a unique storyline for me,A mother with five boys from different tribe, that's really unique for me.
Funke put her time and effort into marketing her film and got the hypes and rewards that came with. So why are people pained and keep comparing it to BOL, was it Funke's fault that they couldn't market theirs? I've never seen anyone that marketed their film the way funke did in ATCJ, that was aggressive marketing and she got the rewards. People comparing it to BOL, should give it a rest!
Anyway we moveeee. The only award wey sweet me was CHIMEZIE IMO. He even deserved more self, when I first watched him in NIMBE, I knew he had it in him,a bag of talent and more.

    1. Honestly,u read my mind.i think wat they tried to do was snub her and it's wrong.she did very well in ATCJ and actually, there is a moral to that story.to me oh! Breath of life was just there.i know my opinion won't be popular cos a lot of peeps here love dat movie.but then again,we are all entitled to our individual opinions.Funke did well .

    2. All People NEEDED to Do was To VOTE for thier Choice Film or Actors.
It was Viewers that Voted, that decided Who Won. I read where someone said They had it for Funke Akundele, that was Why she didn't Win.

    3. My own is, why didn't they vote Toyin Abraham's Malaika? Wasnit conspiracy theory too?

      Delete
    4. What they did was wrong but without any award that movie is selling well.

      Delete
    5. First Blessing you need to understand that the voting was taken away because people who were deserving based on merit were snobbed while others did based on popular choice.

Because A tribe called Judah was highly grossed does not mean it should be deserving of an award. Let's quit saying it is not fair for a particular person not to get an award every year sounds funny. Is the movie deserving when you look objectively.

Plus I agree that Multichoice need to work on their vetting of movies nominated because people alluded that Kehinde was better in SISTA movie than ADIRE.

Awards should be on quality of art not about popularity or doing well in the cinemas. I would have expected you talked about JAGUN JAGUN because it was better than A TRIBE CALLED JUDAH IMO.

Super duper happy for Chimezie Imo

Clean movie like that, cinematography everything! Wale Ojo ate and left on single crumbs! See, stop abeg.
I get that we all like funke and ATCJ but people voted for BOL, and it was also a very good movie!!

    8. Fidel and Phoenix what I'm concerned mainly is the best actress category.Funke deserved it more than Kehinde that clinched it,Adire isn't Kehinde best for me.
Funke portrayal as a kidney patient isn't an easy role to portray and she nailed it perfectly,it was really top notch.

    9. I also didn't see what Kehinde acted in Adire that got her that win sha.

  3. Pray For You Pastors!!
    1 Thessalonians 5:25.

"Sometimes, I wonder how many people pray for their pastors and leaders. It’s really important to do this. You have to pray for them because you need them. The Lord put them there to help you and train you in the things of the Spirit."

" Pray for your pastors and leaders; it’s very important, because they’re gifts of God to you."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I pray for pastors and ministers of the Gospel all around the world today, that their strength fail not. I declare that through them, the Gospel is spreading rapidly around the world with the speed of the Spirit. I pray that you grant them utterance and opportunities to impact many more souls as they preach the Gospel with miracles, signs and wonders, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

  6. What win for Arsenal at the Old Trafford yesterday! I can't really recall the last time Arsenal got a win at Old Trafford, it does appear the stars are aligning for them this season. Congratulations to Arsenal. I do know Tottenham is a potential banana skin for Manchester City and I strongly hope they can throw a spanner in the works of City, which will subsequently put Arsenal at an advantageous position to lift their first premier league title in 20 years. For me, I like to say congratulations to Arsenal in advance. Do have a great as well as a productive week ahead everyone. More Sales to the business people.

  7. RAISING GREAT KIDS

'Train a child in the way he should go.' Proverbs 22:6 GWT

If you're a parent, do you ever wish for a parenting do-over - a second chance to raise your kids? With hindsight and insight, you think you'd do it right this time! Parenting is both rewarding and guilt inducing. It's rewarding because we love our children and they bring us joy. It's guilt inducing because we blame ourselves for their shortcomings and misfortunes. 'Where did I go wrong?' There is no perfect parent, and there is no universal blueprint because each child is unique.

Psychologists told us our children were born a 'blank slate', waiting for us to write life instructions on them. Not so! Babies are miniature people with all their days scheduled (see Psalm 139:16). They are given to us to help mould them spiritually, morally, socially and intellectually. By age seven, they have learned about 75 per cent of everything they will ever know.

There is no one-size-fits-all formula for success, but there are God-given principles that work whether you're a new parent or a grandparent, or someone who works with children. 'Train a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not turn away from it' (Proverbs 22:6 GWT). Notice some keywords here: 'train', which implies imparting information in a consistent, understandable way. Toddlers learn better with pictures. Older kids need us to use contemporary language; 'child' means old enough to understand; 'in the way he should go' implies knowing their personality and abilities and tailoring your training to fit them. When God's principles fit the child's unique characteristics, they're more likely to adopt and follow them.

  33. I have visited several ophanage homes but the one I visited yesterday left a bad narrative on the future of those kids. God is father of the fatherless according to Pls 65:5. Same Bible admonish us in Prov. 22:6 How can you as a home admit more children than you have the financial and human resources to cater for? 68 children (0 - 10) being maned by 6 staff. They are so free and unkept. I also noticed we now have more male children at the orphanages compared to female.

There is this particular ophanage that is being owned by a big church. The founder of the church died and the wife took over. If I stay two months without going to that home I feel uneasy. Very neat, healthy and lovely children. If you carry them, they will cling to you that you will end up spending more time/money than planned🀣. I asked the woman in charge of this ophanage yesterday if they cannot release some children to that one owned by the church and she said they are not allowed😭.
God you are the father of the fatherless. Take the wheels.
    Good morning people.

The above does not connotes that, they didn't go along with their fighting weapons. They were ready for the battle and they had enough weapons to ward-off their oppositions but a commandments came from God. They were asked to only sing round the walls instead of wasting their strength.

How much more you, striving to live a good life without working. Yes, you believe in miracle and opportunities but how do you tend to make good use of it when it comes when in actual sense, you are not ready?

Faith is a good thing but laziness is bad. You can't be praying to get rich without having something to do. Even those who goes into ritual, the devil will always ask you to find something doing so as to bring the riches, even if na pure water or padlock keys.

A word is enough for the wise.

We don't talk enough about the initial loneliness that comes with setting boundaries and letting things go. Though it's the better thing to do, it doesn't always feel like it. Don't get caught up there. Just know that it's temporary feeling now for a more positive gain later. It is possible to find sanctuary in your solitude. Being alone can actually be quite fulfilling. And when you set a boundary and someone breaks it, do not feel bad about it. Sometimes, guilt is not a fact. Instead, remind yourself that boundaries are not walls; they are bridges to respect. It's not you, it's them. Don't let anyone makes you feel ashamed of your growth. People change and it doesn't mean they are hypocrites; they simply outgrew a previous version of themselves. People's opinions, perceptions, behaviors and the likes change over time and that's okay. The you of years ago should never be the same as the you of now. Years of experience, exposure and evolving will help you choose what's important and right for you, your journey and your peace of mind. Because we all grow at different rates, it can be painful to realize that you've outgrown something or someone. But it doesn't mean you're leaving it/them behind. It just means you're in different places now. The alignment is different. And that should truly be honored. Your boundaries are the expression of your priorities. Set them thoroughly.

    Y'all have a productive day ahead 😘😘😘

I have been to an Igbo man's shop recently to buy curtain rods, just two rods. He sat down where he was and was answering me reluctantly. I pointed at one particular one, asked him to bring it let me see, he sat where he was and told me it is more expensive than the first one, asked if I can afford it. I angrily left the shop and went elsewhere to buy that particular expensive one.
So it's not about tribe. I have also had good experiences with them, Yoruba and with other tribes.

  46. DEAR MEN.

    - It takes PATIENCE to live with a woman.

    - It takes PATIENCE to love a woman.

MARRIAGE will TEST your PATIENCE as a man. Start building it now.

A woman can make you go late for EVENTS back to back because she will take 3 hours to get ready, remember you only need 3 minutes.

If you are not PATIENT, you will talk to her in a manner or do something you will regret later.

A woman can Burst into TEARS just because you forgot to tell her I LOVE YOU before you dozed off to sleep.

A woman loves to talk, if you are not PATIENT as a man, you will SNAP one day and tell her woman, you talk TOO MUCH, Don't you ever keep quiet? And those words can damage a WOMAN'S SELF ESTEEM almost irreversibly.

A woman craves ATTENTION and PETTING, this can sometimes get on your nerves as a man and only PATIENCE will help you.

A woman can get angry, and you will use the full 45 minutes to APOLOGISING, if you are not PATIENT you can't keep her.

She will say she is not hungry, then after you buy only one BABEQUE, she will be dragging it with you.

You will both have a plate of rice before you, but she will leave her plate of rice and be eating yours.

When she is on her MENSTRUAL PERIOD, you will see DRAMA, and patience when she's PREGNANT, MAXIMUM DRAMA, PATIENCE.

You will run ERRANDS in MARRIAGE oo. HONEY SCRATCH MY BACK, HONEY HOLD ME, BABY TELL ME YOU LOVE ME, and you just said it 3 minutes ago.

My brothers, the truth is RELATIONSHIP and MARRIAGE will TEST your PATIENCE as a man. I have told you ahead. Carry patience and enter MARRIAGE.

Women are wonderful creatures. Fear WOMEN. This gender that will stand in front of a mirror just to CRY and CHECK if she is CRYING BEAUTIFULLY πŸ˜‚
