INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD.

My princess is going through the teething phase and she has been more fussy than before. She has two now and two are emerging already. She is drooling a lot too, I am not complaining at all because this phase has been way easier than what I experienced with my eldest.
Now because she is teething , she has been putting things in her mouth and rubbing it against her gum. I have bought several teething rings and toys but she doesn’t like them. She prefers objects like the remote controls, keys, bag straps, her brothers toys, anything except her own toys that have been sterilised.

Recently she dropped her rattle, I picked it up to wash and sterilise it and by the time I came back I met her chewing on a slippers and making smacking noises with her lips with the look of pure delight in her eyes. I quickly snatched it from her.
Here I was, trying to prevent her from being exposed to germs and bacteria but she was snacking on a petri dish.
If it was with my first, I would have panicked but with my little experience I just laugh at her antics and tell myself that she will be fine and is just building her immunity. She isn't even crawling yet, just a little bottom shuffling here and there and I have to watch her this closely. I have got my work cut out for me by the time she starts moving around more.

Awwwwwwwwww...... shes so big already and teething? wow.... I think that they like cold things on their gums when teething...Cool those things she bites in the firdge and put in her mouth, you will see her reaction before it warms up again..

PINKYS CORNER

This man had a baby girl with a lady before he got married to his wife. The wife knew he has a girl of 10years old before saying I do but the girl stays with her mum. Two years after the father got married, the woman took the girl to her dad's shop and dumped her there, saying " Emi na Fe ni time fun ara mi". The man affectionately accepted his daughter and took her home. This man I'm talking about is staying just beside my house. I thought the girl was a maid or some what shaaa because the mal-treatimg was too much. We keep asking ourselves,why will a man/woman leave his/her daughter with someone without looking back to know if she is being taken care of properly. We never knew it's the man's daughter but the wife kept making life difficult for the girl.
I remembered someone said to me here that, I should always mind my business. There was a day she was beating the girl mercilessly, my body no take am again, I left my compound and went to meet both of them but they embarrassed me. My wife laugh me tire that day ehn. But recently, the man has been so friendly and most times, he looks so sad. 

On Sunday, he was outside my house making some calls and I was indoors. I heard him discussing and laughing. His discussion sold him out. I knew he was discussing with another woman and they were planning to meet and even talking about getting married.. I opened my door and greeted him. "Sala baba" we exchanged pleasantries and he said "he never knew I was indoors then I replied saying " I am and I heard his voice that was why I came out". Baba was surprised then he told me ,he needs to see me for something urgent because he is already loosing focus.
His words to me ;
Baba, I'm tired of my home, my wife keeps frustrating me because of my daughter. I asked him why and how? He said, could I believe that, his wife stops him from giving his daughter money for lunch each time she is going to school and to the extent that, the wife didn't allow him to buy the girl a flask because she complains about the food getting cold which makes it difficult for her to eat the food.(Note: this statement was just the sincere truth because have once seen the girl throwing away her food and I asked her why, what she told me was so disheartening and I really felt bad. I have a flask I can give but I can't because I don't want issue. This was what I told the little girl then). The father also said, the wife stopped him from having s#x with her because she found out that, he has been giving the girl #200 everyday to school and since then, any little thing, the wife will react and say a lot of nasty things to him.

 I asked if his wife is at home and he said no, that, the wife and his daughter went to his younger sis's house who just gave birth since a week now but his daughter called a day before to tell him that, she is not coming back. She wants to stay with the younger sister. The younger sister also called and complained bitterly about everything the girl told her about his wife and she is staying back and not coming to that house with the wife again. (The younger sister, got to know these within a week because the wife keep saying a lot of things about the girl but ever since they got to the place, the girl has been a different person from what the wife said or have been saying about her).
One thing I know about this girl is, she is passing through a lot for that her age. The way the wife uses the girl, you will think they used her as a collateral. I fear some women ooo , funny enough, she never even get belle let alone having her own child but she keeps treating this girl anyhow.
The problem now is, he doesn't know how to tell his wife that, the girl won't be coming back with her because he doesn't want problem. Then I asked him jokingly "kini ojo Ori yin lodun Yi sir" we both burst into laughter . Then I asked him what he told his sister when she also called to ask if the girl can stay with her? He said the same thing then I told him straight"sir, am sorry to say, you can't be my elder brother " . He was surprised. I told him, if at this stage, he doesn't know the right thing to do, then there is nothing I can say because husband and wife matter dey delicate to put mouth.
Why on earth, will your wife stops you from doing the right thing to your daughter or your son? Why will you as a man not have your own sense of belongings? Who does that? She knew you have a daughter before accepting to be your wife then why been in a competition with the innocent girl?. This morning, as I'm typing this to the blog, I heard a serious noise at there apartment and their neighbors are there trying to settle them because the wife came last night from where she went to.
If I may ask, why do women tend to be in competition with an innocent child they knew the husband had before getting married to them? Though, I understand the fact that, some child can be so spoilt but that doesn't warrant you as a woman or a mother to be.. If I put up my experience or what I went through as a boy child while growing up and staying with people.hmmmm, you go cry for me..But it's gone

Did the wife come back with the daughter or not?

INTERESTING STORY

So when I got back from work this evening, my wife told me that she quarrelled with my neighbour's wife. I was very shocked. This was the first time such a thing was happening. Both women had lived in peace since we parked in.

So I asked her what the problem was. My wife told me it was because of the rope where we dry clothes. My wife wanted to dry her clothes and my neighbor's wife wanted to dry her own clothes. 

One thing one thing led to confrontation, and small thing one person said you insulted me and something something led to quarrel.

The husband of my neighbour's wife returned as I was still talking with my wife. And the hot-tempered wife of my neighbour began to shout at her husband.

"You better go and warn her husband to warn her. Go and warn the husband to warn his wife or else."

My wife wanted to go out to confront her but I held her back.

"I am home now. Don't go outside."

"If you won't allow me to go, then you better go out and tell her husband to tell his wife to shut her mouth or else I will come for her. Go now and tell him. Go and tell him o."

My wife was angry. She entered the bedroom in anger.

I opened the parlour door to peep outside, at that moment I saw my neighbour also opening the door to come out. I thought the man was coming to warn me as his wife instructed. But he didn't. He came to me and said.

"Uncle Praises, I am sure you have heard about the drama."

I nodded.

"Yes, I have."

"My wife is very wild. I will not sleep this night if I don't do what she wants. She has asked me to warn you. I don't know if we can just act the drama small. I will warn you and you will beg me to calm down. So I can go in and sleep well."

"Ha no na. If you warn me and I start begging you, you will be sleeping well in your house and my wife will think I don't have power. She will insult me all night for begging you. Your wife will think you are more superior."

"So what do we do now?"

"Let us warn each other. You will warn me and I will warn you. When we warn each other seriously, we then go inside the house and we both can sleep. That way both women will know we stood for them."

My neighbour agreed and we started the fire.

I warned him very seriously. He also started warning me. Soon we were shouting at the top of our voices. His wife came out of the house and my wife also came out. He ran to carry Hoe, I followed the backyard and brought a machete. My wife started begging me to go inside. His wife was also begging him to drop the hoe.

That was how we both entered inside the house and locked the door. 

There was silence in the compound.

My wife kept rubbing my chest and telling me to calm down. While she was still rubbing my chest and head my neighbor sent me a text.

"It worked o. Thank you, sir."

I told my wife tk fetch me cold water to drink.

When she stood up, I replied back.

"You owe me a bottle of bear."

I was still typing my message when my wife shouted from the kitchen.

"But Praises, you have hot temper o. Small rope quarrel women are having, you carried machete."
