Just remain in God's presence with your heart open, and he will communicate with you. 'You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things' (1 John 2:20 NKJV).
Before God puts the answer in your head, he puts his peace in your heart. That's why prayer can't be rushed. It's why taking the time to meditate and be still before God is so important. It allows the Holy Spirit to share God's thoughts with you so that you begin thinking his way.

The tragedy that happened yesterday is so sad, and annoying (Jnr Pope and his colleagues drowning). Annoying in the sense that it could have been averted. Why weren't they given life vests??? I kept checking IG hoping for some sort of miracle. And then at some point it looked like there was hope. There was news going round that he was alive and responding to treatment. Only to read again that he didn't make him. May God comfort the families they left behind, and may their souls find rest. AMEN.

You have to learn how to pick up yourself back up when you fall, provide for yourself, wipe your own tears and make yourself happy. Having people there for you is truly great but you can't depend on them to always be there. Happiness is within you. A person can not make you happy, only you can do that for yourself. People only bring out what you carry within. I'm proud to say that I have mastered self comforting over time. It should also be taught in Villages and remote places.
It should be a Must in our Nation.
People should stop clustering round Accident Victim and they should administer the CPR(depending on the type of Accident)while waiting for further instructions or the paramedics to arrive.

ReplyDeleteI woke up weak this morning. Death news weakens me. Two passengers flew off a crashing bus into the Lagos lagoon. The remaining passengers did not die, they just sustained injuries. Those two that were sent flying out are gone 😭

I fear water, I only enter a boat if there is no affordable alternative to reach my destination and I make sure I wear a life jacket. He did not wear one.
He should have tried to take precautions by insisting on wearing one, same with everyone in that boat. I'm sad, his wife is now a young widow, his young kids now fatherless. May the souls of all the dead rest in peace.

DeleteI am scared of water too. When I lived in Lagos and went to one beach like that, the only means to reach there was boat. We used life jackets and that was the last time I visited that beach.
As for the Lagos accident, I think accidents kill more people in Lagos than in other states. Very reckless drivers abound there, a very rough place to live in. I don't think I can ever move back to Lagos. I enjoy my peace here.

ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning with a headache, the death of Jr Pope left me traumatised. Life is a fickle. I can only imagine what his wife and young kids are going through right now.
On a flip side,I finally ate sallah meat yesterday. Thank you Mr and Mrs Abdul for hosting us,may Allah replenish 🙏

ReplyDeleteSomething strange happens on Monday . A friend of mine have been mentality ill for some time . This is genesis of the problem , she was once very wealthy and doing well and her husband was once a senior driver in one the big company in Nigeria. They also have a big house in Benin Republic where they are from. ( Both the wife and husband are very close to me) This my friend let call her mama B have so many customers ( she sell foreign spaghetti condensed milk in Nigeria border. One of her customer let call her mama A ( mama A was a single mother of 4 . she pleaded with this woman to be her goods on credit promising to always pay back after selling . But this mama A will always sell the market but will not pay mama B rather use the money to buy goods from another place to sell. Mama B was always complaining to me , I warned her to stop giving her but will still continue until 3 yrs ago . As usual she bought things and did not pay in time but using the money to buy from another place . Mama B arrested her , she later paid the money in the station. We settle the matter to them and everything went well. Mama A bought a milk from mama B, mama A paid and left but mama B put the money separately after she wanted to close her shop she open the money behold their is juju inside the money ( the money was folded ) she shouted that everyone should come and see the money mama A gave her . And that is how the mental illness started . The husband really tried he lost his job and now a tricycle rider . But on Monday she called her husband that he should marry another wife and that one told her that did she want to kill him . How can he cope with 2 of them . I weak as am typing this , bcos the whole responsibility fell on this man. Pls forgive my typo error am just confused this man is very honest and loyal to the core. I never in my life regrets my friendship with both of them
