I was served fried rice, jollof rice and moimoi, the rice wasn't tasting good so I only ate the moimoi and chicken parts. I also ate semo and ofe onugbu at the groom's family house. So my former school invited me to come work for them as a part-time teacher in the secondary section, teaching three subjects.
I rejected the offer. Reason is I saw it happen to some part-time teachers when I was working there, after negotiating the price for two or three or more subjects as the case may be, they will add more subjects for you to teach after sometime without increasing your pay.
Out of frustration, you will be forced to quit or you remain till you get a better offer elsewhere.. They usually do this in the middle of the term when jobs are scarce.
Their most annoying trait is that that they don't pay salaries on time.
If I want to consider a part-time teaching job, it would be in a school with good standards for their workers and the subjects would be one or two so that I would have time for my business.
Some private school owners are users. You'd be working like Jackie with peanut as salaries while their accounts get fattened.
