They will tell you that they bought when things were costly..so it would take months for it to come back down. Trust me, they'll still say this up til next year...greedy lots.
ReplyDeleteThey are still adding One Hundred Naira each day

ReplyDeleteThe problem of Nigeria is not only the government the people are worse
ReplyDeleteAnd annoying!
DeleteI tell you. Seems a lot of people rejoice in the inconvenience of others.
DeleteToday,I bought a custard rubber of rice for 6,500 instead of 7k and bought golden penny spaghetti for 900 instead of 1,100. Apart from that nothing else has gone down in my area (port Harcourt)
ReplyDeleteI bought 6k. Golden penny both mac and spaghetti 850 today. I bought mine at rumuomasi.
DeleteWe the people are the problem,Some used greediness to over stock up,now prices have reduced from the wholesalers but retailers don't want to bring it down.
ReplyDeleteNaija way!
Nothing has changed. As a matter of fact, the cost seems to be going up. With the naira appreciating against the dollar, the price of beef (goat and cow) increased from N5,000 to N6,000 for a kilo when I went to market yesterday.
ReplyDeleteA bottle of coke moved from N250 to N300. I don't get it. Is it not supposed to be the other way round?
food price is so high, still increasing on daily basis. I don't believe that dollars has anything to do with the price of food price else the price should be down.
ReplyDeleteThe term is greedflation. Many businesses are taking advantage and lying that cost of things is why they have to increase prices, for some that may be the case, but there are many who are just seeing a business opportunity and riding with it and hiking there prices.
DeleteI still bought one painter of rice for 7000,then Garri I bought 1 panter for 3000 naira.i dont think anything that goes up in Nigerian will come down immediately if possible it will not even come down
ReplyDeleteNothing has changed
ReplyDeleteWe the people are the problem not the govt
Is it not my country "feeful" again?! Schools are gearing to resume. May God have mercy.
ReplyDeleteThis here, shows that we are all the same and not too different from our leaders, it is very easy to join the bandwagon and publicly blame the government when you are also doing cheating and corruption in your own business and office.
ReplyDeleteNothing has changed, this is Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteThe price is still the same
ReplyDeleteImagine garri is 1200 congo
I paid #1,400 naira today for a congo of garri.
DeleteIn Naija, when the price of commodities increases, even those with old stock will increase the price of their goods but when prices drop, they will wait forever before decreasing the price.Naija I hail we too much .Chiloving
ReplyDeleteSmall basket of Irish potatoes goes for 6k. I decided to buy half. Omo it wasn't up to 20. I wanted to cry. Frankfurt now sells at N2300.
ReplyDeleteNothing has changed
ReplyDeleteStill the same ooooooo
ReplyDeletePrices are still high. I went to the market on Saturday & the prices are still very high, God help us all.
ReplyDeleteWe Nigerians are the most greedy set of people even do dollar depreciatie the price they have their food stuff can't go down lailai.
ReplyDeleteIt got worse. Bought Chicken per kilo at 5,500 each on Thursday and Saturday. Malta is 500, Egg is 200 each, Loaf of bread still 1500, Watermelon is 4500-6000 for an average - big size each, Smallest sized apple is 300, Average size is 600 each, Condensed milk is 3750 per can, Groundnut oil (small bottle 1650), apple cider vinegar 9600, Carrot (3pcs 500), paint of ginger is 12000, Red grapes is 4500 a box, to deworm the tablet is 2000, litre of PMS is 630 after spending 2-3 hours on queue and terrible meter gauge, Epileptic power supply (even 30mins per day is not viable), the untold heat at night is pure, undiluted evil.
ReplyDeleteI am tired Stella. 100% Salary - Expense = - 45%
Rainy season please start... i'm going crazy because of lack of proper sleep. Rechargeable fans are totally useless only 30-an hour it last.
please overlook any typo errors abeg. i just wanted to vent
Engineers and inventors need to develop a building material with the durability of concreter blocks but the coolness of wood or bamboo to build houses. These concrete houses are just absorbing heat and keeping ppl hot in super hot countries. Folks shouldn’t have to depend on air conditioners for cooling, the home should already be built to maintain coolness. Even heat deflection paint or something. I hate a hot house, especially at nights.
DeleteIt is only in Nigeria that traders restock only when the Dollar is high. That's when they buy all their goods.
ReplyDeleteI never forgot that BV who said she was buying lotion or something and in the middle of the transaction the madam told the salesperson she cannot charge the labeled price as marked on the item because she just came from the market and the price was higher in the market. Who does that? The greed is too much. God doesn’t care about market and economics, being honest and upright is what is important.
DeleteA friend of mine said he bought a bag of soya beans 21 k in October last yr ,kept it and sold it for 65k this march ,that is Nigeria people for you
