  1. The ultimate proof of friendship, is LOYALTY!
If you have a LOYAL friend, I swear, you got everything you need in a human. πŸ’―
A LOYAL friend tells you when you're wrong. Praises you when you do well. Seeks your growth and development. Defends you in your absence. Never envious of your success. Celebrates your victory as if it's theirs. Will never join others to mock you. Gives you tips that will help you win in life. That's LOYALTY!
Sadly, there aren't enough people that possess this quality. If you are fortunate enough to have 1 or 2 in your life, HOLD THEM TIGHT!!

  2. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of this new friday morning and the opportunity to draw near to you.
We thank you for your faithfulness, your goodness, and your love towards us.
Lord we ask that you guide us into doing what is right for the kingdom and not go astray. Be our guiding light that we may walk in the path of righteousness and do what pleases you in Jesus name πŸ™
Lord we pray today that you lift us up and prevents our enemies from rejoicing over our failures in Jesus name πŸ™
    GOOD MORNING MY SDK FAMILY.

  3. Yield Your Ambitions To Divine Guidance!!
    Jeremiah 29:11.

"In your life, learn to surrender your ambitions to His divine guidance. Follow God’s plan, the divine blueprint. He’s more passionate about your success than you could ever be."

"When you follow His prescribed order, you won’t have to fight for anything; success will be effortless. You’d keep gliding from glory to glory. Things are remarkably easy when you follow the Lord’s guidance and do things His way."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I surrender my ambitions to your divine guidance, and I make every moment of my life count for the Gospel. I find joy in pleasing you and walking in your perfect will. Thank you for being more interested in my success than I could ever be, a reflection of your unflinching love and overflowing grace, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

We need time to defuse and to contemplate. Just as in sleep, our brains relax and give us dreams, so at some time in the day we need to disconnect, reconnect, and look around us.

Good morning Stella and blogfam.Hope we had a splendid night rest? May today bring us fulfillment. I wish us a relaxing weekend. Stay safe.

  8. I laughed so hard last night and still laughing right now remembering a caller who called a radio program shortly after Chelsea and Manchester United match ended. The radio host were still discussing the match with callers expressing their observations and analyzing the game when a young man called and was like;

''I'm ******** , I need a lady from 25yrs to.... Quickly he was cut of by the host who laughed so hard and said we're talking about football Sir. I was thrown off balance into an uncontrollable laughter..

You need to see how serious the woman seeker was saying it. πŸ˜‚

  12. I need clarification on something and a sincere response to what I'm gonna ask right away. I see it's becoming a pattern here and an attack on me.

Is it a crime to make references on something that happened in the past here involving you which had an effect on you. Months or years later, the issue came up again and you were exonerated and you cited back to it how you felt at the time?

I asked cos, I don't understand why each time I make references on people who had dragged me down in the past here and them being called out later on, I am usually being attacked and you read things like '' Must you always make things about you''

It happened with Morgan here. Almost everyone saw how he rubbished me here. He even said it to one of the women he was engaging here when she asked him my crime to him and he responded nothing, just a dislike on me.

That lady made that disclosure here when Morgan was called out.

I came into the discussion when Morgan was called out here cos my name was mentioned by the lady's confession. I corroborated some things that did happen, only for people to attack me saying ''must I make it all about myself.''

Another one happened again on Olori Orente. In fact, I was the one who spoke and condemned her dubious approach on bvs here at the time and she ganged up against me and did what she did with an old bv here. I know how I was dragged here as a result of that.

Years later, what I pointed out then became the truth and it was brought forward here.

I made references to it on how I cautioned her to treat Bvs nicely. Again, these people came saying ''must I make everything about me.''

Lastly but not the least, these same people are asking me ''must I make everything about me'' simply for recounting how Vincent rudely insulted me here in the past and wish me dead.

So I am asking, is it now a crime for people to cite happenings of the past and corroborate a story that involved them when the occasion calls for it? Or it's a calculated attempt to shut me up here from telling my own side of the story?

Funny enough, I have seen and observed overtime, they don't do this to anyone here but me. Several old bvs do recount their dealings with fellow bvs here that have stopped commenting whenever they're being mentioned for the wrong things, but you won't get to see such question posed on them. The very person who started this on me here, has made references of her past attacks by Bvs here and she was hailed for it and called a strong woman.

    Isn't this hypocrisy?????

    3. See eh. I didn't read to the end honestly. Let me be honest.

Sometimes, you can just talk randomly. It doesn't have to be like Uhhmmm.

OK. We are talking about robbery. Someone got robbed then you come in and be like... Ehh that was how i was robbed

      #metoo.

Every single time. And then you sprinkle some mental health talk and how you will soon stop commenting.

I can't explain it probably because I'm too tired to type. However, i understand what they are saying and you too.

That you want to share your experience. However, it always gives this #metoo vibes.

      Good morning.

It's common with people that talk alot. It's not peculiar to you

    4. The way you keep scores of what everyone commented about you amazes me, how do you do it? Abi you get notebook/screenshots of every reply to your comments that you go to revise regularly?
I can't even remember half of the names of people who made a reply to my comment few days ago (whether good or bad) to now talk of comments people made last year, how????
The moment you start commenting for the sole purpose of just that is when you'll start enjoying this place.

    6. It's not a crime but when its almost every time, it comes off as offensive. Like "please let's stick to the issue on ground" not what happened to you years ago. Or some time ago.
It's like someone coming to pour out their heart to you and before the person could even land, you're like "me too o. Before before when I been..."... You've completely made it about you. And the person is just there.
It's not every time you talk about these things. Sometimes read the room, know when a "me too" experience is needed. Or not needed.

I don't think you read very well or understand my point of writing. When someone else does it, it's fine but me.

So you feel I shouldn't get to say a thing when there's a discussion that has involved me in the past here when it comes up? That's what I want to know. Mind you, the times I have been told that were exactly when I corroborated my relating to the subject discussed.

    9. Fidel, but it's a different scenario here. Everyone was recounting their experience with Morgan here and when I said mine, I was attacked.

Why I brought this up is cos someone made that same statement again yesterday. I have never presented my case here when it wasn't necessary. The only three times I did, where the ones mentioned above in my comment.

Tell me was any of them bad or ill timing?

    10. I know nothing about the first two examples you cited so I will stick to the Vincent's issue. You said Vincent trolled you and you have stayed away from engaging his comments which is okay.
Now, an issue involving Vincent insulting the blog owner who was also his former employer has absolutely nothing to do with you. This is SOLELY about Stella but how you made it about you to the point of even threatening to stop commenting if Stella starts enabling his comments is baffling. Baffling because you have co-existed with him until now so what changed all of a sudden?

      Delete
    11. Anon 09:32,

      Good question.

We all stood for Stella as it ought to be. I have been a big beneficiary of Stella's kindness. So I owe her that when her character is being defamed.

Moreover, I wasn't the only who wasn't engaging him here that reacted and responded to his call out.

Lastly, about what you called a threat. I can't threaten Stella. I have never done and won't start today. But I have my reason for saying so and I will keep to it for my sanity sake. I can't go all through that again from that young man. This is why I made that statement.. It's not a threat to anyone.

I know I'm not important here and the blog will do perfectly well in my absence but then, there are things and disrespect one shouldn't be condoning in life.

I understand you, and I stated that . I honestly don't do well remembering conversations here.

But like you also asked. Is it a crime to relate your story? No.

Do others do it? I can't keep up.

But as you said it. Is someone else saying that he or she is being told not to make it about himself or herself?

      There lies your answer.

If someone else is doing exactly what you are doing and nobody said anything then I'll agree to your judgement.

But if not, maybe you should just re-evaluate things yeah?

  24. AFAMEFUNA
It's refreshing to see an Igbo historical feature movie of international standard on our screens. There aren't many, compared to the Yoruba genre of similar standard. I hope Igbo producers work on letting us know more of their history and culture via good stories like this.

I score the movie very high for not being very predictable. Most of my predictions came short, which impressed me greatly as I hate it when I can easily predict a movie plot.

KOK's acting was compelling. I enjoyed every bit of it. Through his character we either learn or are reminded of key elements of the history of the Igbo business man. The guys that played the younger Afam and Paul, did very well. I commend them because in many movies which younger people play younger versions of main characters, their acting usually don't satisfy me. They usually fail to match the energy of their older characters. Only few have impressed me like these two. And this brings me to Alex Ekubo's acting in this movie. He did well, honestly, but I felt something was missing. Paul's mannerisms as a younger guy didn't match his mannerisms as an older guy. It's either Alex wasn't feeling very well while shooting the movie or... I don't know. However, I commend him for making good use of his facial expressions and body language. They helped to make up to an extent for whatever I felt was missing. Stan Nze and Segun Arinze did well. I found nothing to criticize.

Some characters in my opinion were not necessary in the story. What was the need for Nneka's character (Amaka's cousin with a foreign accent)? And who exactly was Brother Obi, the dark-skinned man that asked Afam to go to the bank? What was the essence of Amaka's mother in the story? These three characters didn't do anything to contribute to the plot. Their lines could have been delivered by other key characters. On the other hand, I would have loved to see the older Obum depict some more greed - like hoarding pieces of meat or drinks at the party. At least, something to tell us he didn't stop being greedy.

Back to the plot. Was Afam's zeal and honesty enough justifiable reason for Odogwu to release him before Paul? Did Odogwu do that to punish Paul for conniving with Amaka to steal from him? How realistic is it for an Igbo man to keep paying his friend's debt, even after finding out that the son he thought belonged to him was actually his friend's? Wasn't there supposed to have been an agreement made between an apprentice's family and his master on the exact number of years of apprenticeship? These questions and more are open for discussion. The questions led me to do a bit of research and my findings made me fault the writers on these aspects. Then I found out again that almost all the writers are Yorubas. There's nothing wrong with that and I believe they made their research while writing. What I don't know is if they did enough research or if they just decided to ignore certain facts.

I noticed a few errors in the scripting sha - only because I was searching for them. They are negligible. I enjoyed listening to the Igbo language spoken therein. It was sweet to my ears. Ehnehn - I thought I saw a bald Jidekene Achufusi amongst the guests when Afam was arrested, or was that his doppelganger?

AFAMEFUNA is a really nice movie. I enjoyed it.

    2. I share your opinion πŸ’―, I picked out most of those things you did too, plus how did Amaka a whole medical student at the time who slept with 2 different men within her fertile period and got pregnant not have even nursed the idea that her child could possibly be for either of the 2 guys? I say this because she acted totally surprised and even make it look as if there must have been a mistake somewhere when her husband Afam showed her the lab result, like how??? Which kain Amotekun move according to 'inhouse specialist Dante' is that kwanu?

Alex in my opinion is not an exceptional actor so I didn't expect more than that from him, na where him capacity reach be that for now, no be sickness.

Why did the police automatically close the case without actually corroborating all Afam narrated, talmabout 'youre free to go', what if Afam just spinned them half truths to exonerate himself? Too much discovery ID episodes ringing in my head here.

My best actor in the movie is KOK, he delivered the role excellently.

    3. Nice review.
As a non Igbo, l'll like to rewatch some scenes when l get the subtitled movie. I really enjoyed it!

    4. I really felt the whole blackmail was unrealistic because they're not strong grounds for blackmail. I will be paying 5m for you because of what? Well.

I also didn't find any fault with Alex Ekubo's acting. I have never thought of him as a very great actor before, so I wasn't expecting much. For me he even did well.

I always enjoy these movies. Where they speak their languages. It's cool seeing how they relate, and their culture. Beautiful thing.

Just monitor your cycles or use opk for like 3-6months to understand your cycle and when you ovulate and know the symptoms. Sometimes stress or medication could alter the date.

  33. Do yourself a favour and learn how to walk away.
When a connection starts to fade, learn to let it go.
When a person starts to mistreat you, learn how to move on to something and someone better, or just be alone.
Don't waste your energy trying to fix something that's not meant to be.
Make it a point to start dating people who really want to be with you.
You don't have to suffer because of love.
Who does that? It should not be love endured. It should be enjoyed.
The truth is, for every one person who doesn't value you, there are tons more waiting to treat you better.
    You're not a tree.
They no plant you for there,
if you are not treated right ,if you are not happy ...
    MOVE!!
Some of you will say I encourage separations...No no ...I encourage value...I encourage happiness.
People are dying in their emotional trips of endurance.
I'm only telling you what is...
    The choice is still yours.
    I have only seen things.

  37. Good morning everyone 😍😍😍

You're too loud when making fun of yourself, when talking about your weaknesses, when talking yourself down. And too silent about your potentials, your strengths and the beauty that you have. Don't shy away from your authenticity. Stop sleeping on yourself. Stop playing small to fit in. Stop feeling guilty for outgrowing people. It is okay to praise and appreciate your own being. You are great! You are it!!

    Y'all have a splendid day ahead 😘😘😘

  39. I used to think Stella has something special for extremely dramatic people like Milkshakes because I couldn't understand how he was taken in so closely after all the attitude he displayed here. He should have just benefited from the giveaways like every active BV. His trouble making attitude started when he participated in Foihn and kept complaining about the blog PA not sending him data sent to all the participants and l think he had issues with her then and so many other troublesome behaviors. But maybe this is the time when his cup is finally full as he has refused to change over time.

    2. Stella has the habit of indulging people that BVs have problems with. I don't know if she does it to peppered BVs and that's why I don't pity her in any of these. They said if you gather any infested woods, be ready to have lizards as visitors.

  44. It's like almost people around here are crazy, like they don't know their leaders again??? When has everyone become a family in Lagos that anywhere I go strangers I don't know will be acting like they know me or we have been talking??

Does it means that they don't what talking means or should I say is part of mental illness.
They formed a group and anybody that join the group will start acting crazy, and nobody among them will tell them this is wrong.
Who doesn't know will think I'm their president because of how they will approach you with their entitlement mentality.

Does it means they don't know how relationship/ marriage is done cos I'm yet to know what is all these people's business and their gain by interfering in other people's personal life. Teachers should come to rescue cos I'm ashamed on behalf of those that are involve in this nonsense drama including their leaders and representatives.

You haven't said ' Hi' and you are gathering community, unknown persons and your village people giving them hope and promise like you are their leader and at the same hand pushing them to someone that mind her business. What are they thinking??

Many are mad few are roaming.
