  1. Awesome.....
Gradually civil service workers would earn 100k in this country as minimum wage.

A new Nigeria is possible. .

  2. To increase it is not the problem, the main issue is will he pay it regularly and sustain it? If he leaves power, can the next governor pay it?

The 30k minimum wage, some states said they cannot afford it, they are owing their workers, yet the governors of these states embezzle funds in billions regularly.
    See Kogi state for example.

    1. Bullshit! Even this 70k is only 40£ and 50 USD. For an entire month of work, they can all afford to pay the 70,000. If their dusty asses were not thieving and diverting funds to their own pockets the money would be there to pay this still low ass low wage. I will give this man small kudos for pushing for change.

    2. Lady port is right, can they sustain it without owing. Some states can afford to pay up to 300k as minimum wage. The government is actually the problem, they steal what is meant for their citizens.

  6. He can as well make it 5 million. The issue is that the state cannot afford to pay this. People should know better than to deceive themselves every election year. Whoever wins the election would simply stick to 30k with a no work no pay approach to the rumours of strikes.

70k in this economy??? These clowns that you people elect and the people who support them should be ashamed

When minumum wage should be moving to 200k and above with the amount of mismanaged wealth in this country???

How much is a liter of fuel?
How much is a loaf of bread?
How much is a bag of water in sachets?

Lolllllllllll, the cycle of poverty is indeed longer that Nigerians can ever imagine.

    1. Such a low wage, would they work for it, would they encourage their children to work for it. Nobody should be making a pittance in service to their country.
