CBN Directs OPay, Palmpay, Kuda Bank And Moniepoint To Stop Onboarding New Customers

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued an instruction to four fintech companies, directing them to suspend the process of onboarding new customers until further notice. The affected fintech firms include OPay, Palmpay, Kuda Bank, and Moniepoint.

    1. It means that they have directed these mentioned banks to stop signing up new customers. For example, me that wants to open an account with Moniepoint now, it won't be possible. They have to stop registering new new customers.

  5. What is their problem?What is CBN's problem? Of you want people to stop patronising them, then fix your commercial banks. My 25k
    Is still hanging in one of your useless commercial banks since last year.
    Ha, God, see me that wanted to open a business account with Moniepoint since but kept postponing it 😢

  6. What happens to existing customers? The whole Nigeria will not contain me and FG if anything happens to the urgent 2k in my opay. I've known ease ever since i started banking with opay.
