ReplyDeleteYears ago in Lagos, it was a rainy morning and as ‘effico’ I was determined to get to work. Surulere was flooded… I had to wade water with some other people I saw. I’m tall but the flood was above my knees. Finally got to a point where I could get a bus. I dived in and sat down not realizing it was the conductor’s seat. He had to hang outside and I wonder why I wasn’t dropped. I was cursed by this conductor non stop until I had to tell the driver to stop me. It was crazy.
