She gave the advice during a recent episode of her podcast, 'Spill With Phyna'.
In her words:
"If you date at most three years, anything three years and the guy be like who no dey look front, pack your load and go.
You see this marriage thing of dating someone for three years with the intention of getting married, if you are looking for people that do that a lot, come to Edo State.
Edo State is where you will see somebody say, ' Oh, we've been together for ten years', there's no plan, like they would just be using fron seat of motor dey keep you, dey use 'my babe' keep you, 'our wife' keep you''

Three years sef na like degree course and should only apply to students. By the time you're through with school or vocational training and have started earning money, a man who is equally "through, busy and earning" should be able to tell within 3 MONTHS if you are the one or not and so should you.
ReplyDeleteFor example, the chronicle of two or 3 days ago about an unhygienic boyfriend who is not willing to change. Two days or at most one week is enough to know that they are not compatible. What would or should people like that be doing together for three years kwanu? Keeping each other until they find a better alternative bah? That's it and it will eventually not favour at least one of them; ranting, crying, shading and heartbreak chronicle go con dey fly upandan. Nah!
Whether man or woman, no gree for anybody wey wan waste your time or destiny.

ReplyDeleteShe's right,long term dating is not good,but not in all cases,if they started at an early age like from 19yrs,it's still okay but not when you're already well over 21yrs and still be doing long term,I believe any serious person in a relationship should be able to know and have a plan in place around 8months to 1yr of dating,prepare and be married in the second year,not all these 10yr,15yrs,12yrs datings
