Nigerian Govt Files Terrorism Charges Against Mietti Allah President

In compliance with the Federal High Court order, the Federal Government of Nigeria has filed terrorism charges against the detained President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo.

In the terrorism charges dated March 12, Bodejo was accused of undermining the national security of Nigeria by establishing and arming an ethnic militia group without authorization.

Part of the charges read: “That you, Bello Bodejo, Male, Adult, on or before the 17th Day of January, 2024, at Lafia, Nasarawa State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, committed to commit an offence to wit: you established an ethnic militia known as Kungiya Zaman Lafiya without authorization and thereby committed an act prejudicial to national security and public safety, an offence punishable under Section 29 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.”

Bodejo was arrested on January 23 at the Miyetti Allah’s office in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State over the alleged unveiling and arming of a vigilante group.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), filed a motion ex parte on February 5 seeking to remand Bodejo pending the conclusion of the investigation by DIA and his arraignment in court.
Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja had, upon the ex parte application, ordered that Bodejo be remanded for 15 days.

At the expiration of the 15 days on February 22, the judge gave the Federal Government seven days to file a charge against Bodejo.

  1. This wouldn't have happened under Buhari, as in the prosecution of terrorism charge. In fact, Buhari would have turned a blind sight to their activities.

There's already a Hisbah police and sharia court in the north. Even there's local vigilante. So why form another militia group? A common sense would have let them know it's better to push for the Hisbah police thing across all northern states if ever there's a state in the north its presence is not registered than forming a new security outfit..

    Let's see how it goes.

    1. Nigeria is a very unserious country divided along ethnics and religious lines. I wonder why these guys are freely terrorizing Nigeria and our security agencies especially DSS are pampering them.

    4. 😂 Zaram. My take is that majority of the staff of DSS are northerners hence the turning of blind eye ish.

    5. Teejay,

You will be a hard human to be around. I hope when you settle down, your partner will be brave, brainy, bold, and beautiful! To call out your bag of BS!

You are what we call a WHINER!!! And a misinformed one at that!

Well done FG. Rather than acknowledge the government he hates is working, Chief WHINER found a way to pour water on it by diverting to the fmr President.

If this didn't happen, Teejay would be quick to point out the religious ticket and the ethnicity.

And he has also already thrown up a caveat should this case get thrown out.

Word of advice to us all, politicking either in governance or the corporate world is a game of relationships and calling in favours.

That's why I am happy that PO has seen this and he is now hobnobbing in the nook and crannies of the game changers. He was deceived with the SM noise makers.

      2027 will be interesting indeed.

    6. Anon 10:25,

I just want to believe you're not on some strong substance. If not you'll understand my comment was a praise to the government for the prosecution. I went further to say Buhari wouldn't have dare arrest or prosecute his kinsmen but turn a blind sight. If that's not a kudos to this government to you, then your problem of understanding is more monumental than anyone can imagine.

So where's the attack on this government in my comment? Do you find it hard comprehending English langouste? Even with the praise for the government, you still find a way to twist my words.

    7. Teejay Teejay,

Please read to understand. And most importantly, read between lines and make a conscious effort to be better.

You are a very unhappy human filled with excuses and storytelling. Most of it copied, misunderstood and misrepresented.

There's no where in my write up where I stated you "attacked" this Government. However, there is what is known as inference. Please look it up.

Now, please run along to your WhatsApp groups and or Facebook where you get most of your content from.

      Ciao.

    8. What's the meaning of this lines ''Well done FG. Rather than acknowledge the government he hates is working,''

You people have a way of lieing so much here. Do you think I don't get you very well. Pls avoid me madam. Stop this nonsense. My second comment below should have let you know I was in full support of the prosecution.

No, I didn't belong to any WhatsApp group neither did I get any content anywhere.

So take your lies elsewhere please. Don't bring it to me.

  2. I just listened to a member of Miyelty Allah few minutes ago saying, "Tinubu release our leader Bello Badejo peacefully and unconditionally because if you don't we don't know what our radical brothers might do to your government" - Miyetti Allah Fulani herdsmen

You see how these people are giving a subtle threat to the government. Since the matter is already in court, why can't they go through the process the same way others charged with terrorism are having theirs?

Would they have threatened Buhari or a president of northern extraction this same way?

If this man is released without going through the process, then I will believe there are people more Nigerian than others. I believe the government won't bow to pressure.

  6. One thing I like about the current president is that he ain’t no fckboy or azzlicker. He has gumption. There is something respectable about a person with gumption, especially when an older person shows it. You can’t be a ruler and be a pushover, and diplomacy doesn’t mean being sedated.

  7. If Nigerians have risen up and stop buying cow meat this people would have stopped their nonsense long time ago.
