Truck drivers brought traffic on Zaria Road to a standstill on Saturday after a confrontation with officials of the Nigeria Customs Service. The incident occurred at Kwanar Dawaki after customs officers reportedly shot at the tyre of a truck, forcing it to a stop.

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has summoned the Chief Executives of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, over the worsening power supply in their regions.
