Something happened in my neighborhood last night.
There is this couple with three beautiful daughters. The last girl was about 5yrs old. Last year, the woman suddenly fell pregnant again and people started whispering that maybe they are looking for a male child, since they are from the East.
Then she gave birth last week but lost the baby. We didn't get to see the baby, we were told she died immediately after birth.
Last night police came and picked up the man and his wife. We were even begging them to leave the woman, that she is still very weak as she just delivered last week and even lost the baby. They just whisked them away.
Some people followed them to the station that night, the rest of us went went back into our various houses.

According to them, the pregnancy was a mistake. Immediately the man found out, he asked his wife to abort it as things were hard in the country. The woman refused. The man now warned her that the baby will only stay if it is a boy, he will kill it or take it to motherless babies home if it is another girl, he has had enough of girls in his home.
The baby was a girl, the man put poison inside baby milk and fed the baby, against the wife's wishes. He did it right there in the hospital when wife was sleeping, he was pretending to hold baby for her:
Baby died, wife knew her husband did it, she confronted him when they got home, he reminded her of his warning. They argued seriously. Their kids heard them.
The first girl who is 10yrs old later told one of their aunts who came visiting few days ago that her daddy poisoned their baby sister. That one went and reported to the police.
Some of us were crying when they were narrating it to us. I imagined the poison torturing that poor baby before she died. Kai! she would just be crying and then go quiet. God! Tears!
May that man rot in jail. The woman should have reported her husband, now they will both go to jail. Wicked couple.

We may want to Judge the lady for not going immediately to report to the Police but i am sure she was still thinking of what steps to take especially as she was dependent on the man.......The man may still escape justice as there is no proof that he did it, everything is all hearsay evidence and even the Judge cannot sentence him unless an autposy is done to determine poisioning and even at that you need evidence to show he was the one that did it.. A good Lawyer will get him out of jail fast...
It is only Gods judgement that he will not escape.....
Rest in peace to the Angel whos life was cut abruptly after only a few hours on earth...

A friend called me few weeks ago and was complaining how one of our friends wasn't replying his message on Facebook. He doesn't have his number hence the message on Facebook messenger. I deleted the number of the said person around 2020 when he passed on. He died through accident but this my guy didn't know about it.

He did and ran with the speed of light and called me in tears that all he was reading was rest in peace. He cried all through our conversations. I told him I'm sorry he wasn't aware and I didn't let him know. I thought he knew about it.
His death broke so many of us at the time. A young hardworking man in his 30's.

Oh! If only death could spare us the luxury of time to prepare for the trauma it leaves behind.
What then is the whole essence of living and the acquisition of wealth, degrees, material possession if we'll all be gone someday?????
