    1. who can help me pls? There's a book I used in primary school to prepare for Engliah exams, not mastering English. This one was lilac in colour I believe, bulky. With plenty stories, and I also believe answers at the back.
There was a story of a beggar with a dog, and one man gave him money everyday but one day he forgot and the beggar went after him, when he enquired how he could see him, the beggar said, it was his dog who was blind.
Does anyone remember this book please? I finished primary school in 1995.
      Thank you in advance.

  4. Happy International women's day to all the women in this forum. I am a super woman.

I am at a crossroad whether to attend a burial ceremony in the East. The point is I am not really familiar with my maternal people and this burial gives me the opportunity to know and fraternise with them as I have an old mother who is 80. I don't know tradition. I am an only child and I need her blessings before God calls her.

My main worry is spending over 320k on air tickets when I am not a politician. I have the money no doubt but compare to road, which is way cheaper. So much on my hand to handle financially. I don't like unnecessary spending this hard time.

Someone told me to use GIGM. But I have never done road journey. I am so confused whether to go or not. I still need to give assistance for the burial. My Hotel bill, feeding, local runs exigencies. By road is just 70k return. But my comfort and safety is of concern. If I go it will cost me about 600 -700k total (if by air. )If road, every thing put together will be far less. Say 250k.
Who has experience with GIGM ? What is the stress level? Can I call this whole thing off? They don't know me. Am I thinking right?I am confused and disturbed!
    The burial is next week.

    1. Travel let your people know you and you know them. There's this special joy in it. Go by Road. Your safety is secured by God.

      Delete
    2. The road is way cheaper Gig doesn't compromise with their AC. But the challenge you will have is body ache due to bad road. Why not use the road going then when coming back you Fly. If you are to use the road ensure to go 2 days before the event so you can rest well from body aches.

    3. Jesus! To now travel to the East and back is 70k 😳. To think some of my family members want to travel for Easter (5 fa to pay for 3 seats) and the expenses will definitely be on me. I’m in trouble πŸ™†

    5. Times are really hard and every trying to cut cost GiIGM is really ok. If not for some bad roads here and there journeying home should have been one sweet experience. Like someone suggested you can Gibby road and Come back by air. Your comfort matters.

    6. Please attend the burial

    7. Go by air. People that run into kidnappers while traveling by road pay more than the flight ticket as ransom. Never compromise on safety.

      Delete
    8. Travel by air pls. Kidnappers will rape you or even kill you and they collect ransom in milions

  5. When travelling abroad, be extra careful of helping people deliver things. A lot of people were not lucky. A friend gisted me of how she almost got implicated by her aunty's parcels.

Chilling with hubby and our princess. Just had jollof and Tigernut milk drink. Thank God it's Friday

    1. Also be careful when traveling back. Carrying anything for anyone you don't trust is a bad idea unless they have the store ship the item directly to your address.

  9. These days people no dey talk thank you again when you call them to come eat. Them go just wash hands or ask you wey spoon. If na snacks, them go make sure them cut it bigger than your own left.

    Hungry dey for the country.

The ones I dislike their act are the people you innocently call to come and eat, and what they will do is to deep hand and collect your meat or fish knowing that it's just one meat or fish in the plate. They will throw it in their mouth and tell you thank you. These persons you won't see them eating theirs publicly and if you do, they won't call you or let you take their protein.

Abeg before you call person to come eat, be sure the food go belleful you. Make you no go inside go dey regret.

    5. I get the same response when I mention my preference for cremation. I think Christians believe if there is no bones you won’t rise on the day of resurrection. But I can’t forget when some heavy floods happened and some graves bursted open and dogs were playing with the skulls and bones of some dead ppl.
