    2. People’s innocent wives, husbands, children were fried to death in their sleep because of an ill-advised military retaliation. And some of you support it in the name of faux outrage and “love for the armed forces”.

You support jungle justice and violence, I just need you to own it with your chest because the chickens will come home one day.

    3. Nobody is justifying the death of our able bodied soldiers, but why not tell Nigerians the truth, rather than use the biased western media to drive home propaganda and wicked narrative, in order to justify your actions.

The Nigerian Army claimed that they went to Okuama community for peacekeeping mission.
But you wanted to forcefully arrest 3 high chiefs, the community said nope and stood their grounds. What did you do next. Your men opened fire on innocent villagers, injuring well over 500 of them, and killing many. Both old, fragile, women and children were amongst the casualties. But nobody is telling their story, or listening to their plight. After attacking first, you all entered your boats and left.
As you were leaving, you all were ambushed by 9 speedboats filled with militants. They were the ones who killed our gallant soldiers. Not innocent old men and women who can not operate hunters gun. People who are already injured, bruised and morning their loved ones after your 14th march unprovoked attack on them.

Below are some pictures and videos of the injured and murdered at Okuama community.

  2. Disco Dancer,

This is the answer to your question to me on the other post. I intentionally declined to answer you cos you won't believe if I say yes to you.

This is what I was saying. Two wrongs approach have never been the best neither has it made any right.

Unfortunately, the innocent ones becomes the victims. Where will victims have the resources to rebuild their houses.

    1. Teejay,Why I kept asking was because no one had mentioned any retaliation by the army in any news outlet.
And you know news without back up can be very dangerous. In all I pray the government intervenes before it gets out of hand and also pray no lives are lost.

    2. Have you ever seen or read from the military at any time that they retaliate in issues like this? Of course they won't be proud to say they pulled down houses.

All those supporting this should pray such a thing don't happen close to their home that they will have to run without picking up a pin from their house only to hear that their house was raze down.

    3. Tj i hope u r not saying what the army is doing is wrong? Don’t call this 2 wrongs. An attack on a personnel of a country is a direct attack on the sovereignty of a nation. These ppl have called for war, and we know in war, innocent people always die. If the army doesn’t do anything that way you are suggesting, it would be very bad for their image and the moral of both civilians and the rest of the personnel. The army would lose that which is making it look invincible. If they let this slide, no personnel would freely enter that community again, and it won’t be good for even u n i. This would serve as a deterrence for the others that would be planning to do same, i’m sure their elders would tell them the story. They didn’t just kill them, they beheaded them, they opened their stomachs and someone somewhr is saying two wrongs.

    4. No one is justifying the killing of Nigerian soldiers. But reprisal against innocent community members, is a no no. An old retired school teacher's house shouldn't be burnt down because some criminals in his community killed some soldiers.
36 soldiers were killed in Shiroro Niger state recently. But not a single house was burnt down.

Nigerian Army, go after the killers of your soldiers. Not a summary execution to everyone from that land. Stop burning people's houses.

  3. 14 of the 15 bodies have been recovered by the Army.

Reports claim(allege ), some of the bodies were headless while some had their stomachs and hearts ripped out!

That community is in trouble! My advice will be for the community leaders to give up the people that did this. They should ask ODI people.

    1. Inasmuch as I don't support this, worst things have happened in the North, but have there been any reprisal attacks?

      Bunch of hypocrites people.

  5. The cowardly killers. Why are they in hiding? Let them come and defend their Homeland from the Nigerian army. Or is it to kill and then go into hiding while leaving mothers, wives and daughters vulnerable?

Now look at it. Will the army be blamed for any reprisal they undertake?

  6. I knew it will come to this

It is only in this bloody country that stupid things like that occur.

    1. You think so? Let America send its soldiers, recruits only fa, to Nigeria, let a community kill them in the gruesome way the did these ones, wait and see what would follow. Not to talk of you add killing their officers join. Soldiers, the world over, are properties of the state, an attack on a personnel is a direct attack on the sovereignty of the nation, ofcourse you have called for war.

    2. Gifty,

You are definitely not exposed! Try it with the US Army.

And the Israeli reprisal is what?

Please go and read some books and listen to international News!

  8. As I commented on the previous post,

The attack on the army was clearly coordinated and well planned.

Did they do this? I don't know.

The community better fish out the perpetrators. BH, Armed robbers, UGM, Kidnappers, Bandits, Ritualists etc etc etc LIVE IN COMMUNITIES. They have families, they have friends, girlfriends, concubines, boyfriends etc etc.

They go to their different places of worship.

    People KNOW them!

Till we are ready for the days of old, where you couldn't take home an item your parents didn't buy no matter how rich your parents are; where the houses of GOD and the community you live in will ostracize you for not having a believable source of income, now you get front row seats; till we stop calling those questioning people's sources of income haters; where a politician that did not do right by the people is shamed and sometimes chased out or pelted when they visit etc etc, the innocent will bear the brunt.

    1. Zaram, this was a peace keeping smth, they didn’t go for war. If these men have kitted up and went wt full armor for a peace talk, the same community would have shouted and ppl would agree wt them. The peace keeping was over already, on their way back, they were ambushed and killed in a gruesome manner

  12. But this is all shades of wrong! Why kill innocent people??
I thought that the military has intelligence unit?? Why not use the intelligence unit to fish out the perpetuators??
Why destroy the whole community? When will these people ever learn?? Na wa o!!!

    1. Aivy,

The same community that shielded them will face the consequences of doing so.

Now, when a child brings a weapon to school and uses it to commit murder, the owner of the licensed weapon (mother/father etc) will also be charged!

This past week, a father whose teenage child killed his fellow students got 14 years jail time.

The child also got his. While this isn't the same scenario, it's time for us to start keeping ourselves safe. The killers in the north have people that know them. The ones in the south same.

Security is for you, and I before everyone perishes because of the madness of a few.

  13. There is no conclusive proof that the Nigerian army is behind the burning of this community. For all we know, it may be the land dispute that may have escalated and the opposing community set the fire.

If you watched the video of the killing of those soldiers eh? Officers had their heads cut off and their bellies ripped open. Husbands, fathers... Sons.

The army is undertaking a detailed investigation into the matter and any purported reprisal attack from the Nigerian army is totally false, baseless and calculated to further inflame a very tense situation.

Dog, like you said fathers fa, my husband’s coursemate is among them. Some comments i read here i just shake my head.
Guys take this into ur thick skulls, they are human first before being officers and soldiers, they are not robots. One up there is asking when last did we train our military? Like for real? Hav u ever heard of ambush? Even the most sophisticated military in the world, if u tk them unawares, u wud cause alot of damage.

  14. Is it lawful for the Nigerian Army to burn down a full community because some of their men were supposedly killed by the Community? How many bandits/ bokoharam habitat or communities in the North has been razed down since the insurgence. Indeed, there was a country.

  22. So sad human being were slaughtered like animals. Where's our humanity? Security agencies that bear arms would always retaliate if you kill one of their own not to talk of about 16 & the manner on which they were killed. The challenge for the community is that the innocent ones will suffer the reprisal attacks from the security agencies because the bad eggs must have disappeared from the community

Those soldiers have no business going to the community for peace talk.
They should have invited key stakeholders in a neutral venue.
