“It was a pride and honor to coach the Super Eagles. It has been 22 months of immense dedication, sacrifice, emotion, and enormous enthusiasm. We feel a sense of fulfillment.
“We would like to express our gratitude to Sir Amaju Pinnick (the president who signed us), President Ibrahim Gusau, General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, Secretary Dayo Enebi, the NFF, all the Staff, and especially all the PLAYERS, with whom leading has been a great pleasure.
“Guys, we are thankful; it has been a privilege to be part of this family. We will miss you, but we will always be there for you, no matter where you are. A big hug to all of you,” Peseiro wrote.
Peseiro led Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, where they lost 2-1 to hosts Ivory Coast.

ReplyDeleteFarewell to him.
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard he gets paid $50,000 a year to coach the players I was like what!!!! No wonder nijia is not winning anything. How can you Pay a family man $50,000 a year? How is that suppose to pay his rent and kids fees? Hmmmmmm without a coach, a player is nothing. Good luck with the best person.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good coach. I really enjoyed your stay in Super Eagles. I wish you best of luck.
ReplyDeleteNot that his contract wasn't renewed. He got better offers elsewhere. Considering his performance in AFCON, his suitors considered the measly salary Nigeria was paying him disgraceful and they gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. Algeria may be his next point of call.
ReplyDeleteThanks you sir for your support
