DeleteA government in serious debt and needing to subsidize fuel and Forex it's ungrateful untaxed citizens do not want to bear financial responsibility for, must finance the gluttonous appetite of the unproductive adults by borrowing foreign currency. The first way to recoup to repay debt is direct taxes which 8 out of 10 don't pay yet don't see as a palliative. The other option is what happens in every country including the ones you praise and hope to move to: running a printing press in the central bank or federal reserves and automatically diluting the value of the currency so that citizens who think they are wise for not paying their fair share actually get an automatic consumption tax termed inflation. Your addiction to freebies is what's drilling the hole in your pocket.
The free or greatly subsidized education you have received from Nigeria taught you this but when you don't pay, you don't pay attention.
