PINKYS CORNER
Last week, precisely on Thursday, I was still indoors preparing to go to my shop and I decided to quickly sweep the entrance of my house before going. As I come out like this, I saw one man wey I used to believe he is normal because of his outlook and dressing. He stays adjacent my house.

I saw him pursuing a guy and when he realized he can't catch up with him, he stopped and began to pursue another person. Just random people passing by ooo.

We thought it was a small thing until he moved close to a young boy and tried to choke him. I left what I wanted to do and ran there to free the boy not knowing the man has a mental problem. I rescued the boy with the help of another passer by but sincerely,he almost choked me too but trust, I was punching him so hard while the other guy was using stick on him. He fell down and we left him there.

I was still talking with the other guy on how I was caught on aware. We never knew he has held one old man who was just going innocently by his trouser and pull the man down. He almost killed the man because the man almost lost his breath.
People around gathered stick and began to wipe the man until he left that old man . Infact, they broke his leg and his head was bleeding. He was seriously dealt with. The neighbors came out saying, they are tired of the man and they don't want him again. One of the landlord around called police officers and they came.

They took him away and when they realized he his mentally unstable, they brought him back and his neighbor didn't allow him in. They said it's dangerous and he can kill anyone anytime soon. They said, they have being managing him since but never again.
They called the CARETAKER in charge and he insisted that, they should allow him in. He was busy pleading when the man hit the caretaker's head on the wall by grabbing his head from behind. Baba fainted immediately.

The rest of the tenants locked the main door to the house because it's a face me I face you compound.. They didn't allow him in. Some people gathered and rushed the caretaker to a near by hospital. I was washing from my window because my neck still dey pain me sef, so, I can't even go and join them, was using aboliki. The same police came again and picked him up, since then, he hasn't returned.

I heard this morning that, baba caretaker is still at the hospital but getting better. I have said, I won't interfere in any fight this year but the young boy I wanted to help from the madman put me into trouble. But glory be to God shaaa.

Na wah oooooooooooooooo

  3. When I was around 9 years old, I built a 3 bedroom treehouse and freaked my dad out because I'd used every single nail and piece of lumber he had hanging around the house. My dad and I worked on our house constantly, and I picked up how to do things the proper way.
The most important lesson I learned from my father wasn't about wiring or plumbing. It was about doing things right. He cared about what he did, and so for him, doing something right wasn't just a business practice, it was about who you were as a person and how you treated others. My dad is gone now, but that lesson has stayed with me. I have always tried to get it right the first time.

  5. At the weekend I will be leaving Nembe, Bayelsa state to Port Harcourt. Though I will be back after two weeks but this time, I will be at the city on another tour.

An hour ago, as usual I ate the native soup here. So nice and sweet. Therein you have the fresh fish, smoked fish, periwinkle, sliced kpomo etc all together. I'm looking forward eating crab anytime this week before going back.

In this over one week here, I have eaten lots of sea foods and I'm beginning to add weight. Now I know why skinny people here aren't up to 5%. The women here beautiful and thick, with good curves. *coughs*.

I love it here I won't lie but not a place I will like to live permanently.. I ate the yellow soup too and it's great as well. It's cooked with fresh fish. I noticed some dishes like Afang, Onuigbo, Oha etc is missing here at almost all the restaurant I have been to. What's obtainable here is Egusi, Okro, native soup and yellow soup. The jollof rice and porridge beans here taste great too.

I remember drinking garri with porridge beans cooked with smoked fish one hot afternoon. I feel so relaxed afterward.

I'm being treated nicely here by the people of Nembe most especially from the women. The woman that sells food in the morning is no exemption. She treats me special and sometimes will serve me first when there are people already seated before I came in. She serve mine very well and I always get filled.

    God bless her for me.

I had gone to fetch water one morning and the queue was so long. I stood at the very end and kept my jerrican behind. I noticed the line stopped moving and the reason was that, teenagers who had fetched earlier, will come back and stylishly put their jerrican at the front.

    What an act!!!

I got upset and stopped one trying to fix her bucket after I watched her leaving with water not too long ago. An elderly woman just coming, got annoyed with them and cautioned them to stop doing that. She spoke in their dialect and cautioned them seriously. She took my jerrican from the back and fetched it. She told me never to stay on the queue again whenever I come to get water as an elder. I told her thank you and left.

Some of them thought I'm a youth Corper.

The people here are so hospitable and respectful. The community is serene, trouble free and less noise. The locals goes about their businesses peacefully and live quietly.

I will surely have a fond memory of this place when I leave.

Indeed, traveling is a part of education.

    2. That is one thing you can never take away from the locals - their hospitable spirit and peaceful way of living.

That is why it is always advised when you plan to travel to a new place; to mix with the locals. They are very welcoming and informative. You also get to savour many cuisines, all of which enhance your travelling experience.

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed this piece as well.

I will continue to say it as it is. Stop consuming sugar, cakes raddler, pizza, shawarma, and carbonated drinks, just once in a while is ok. Think of all the side effects and how you want your health to be in the future. You can be young now but won't stay young forever.

  13. You may have situations that look permanent. All the circumstances say, “It will never work out, it’s been that way too long, the odds are against you.” God is not limited by what limits us. We’re natural; He’s supernatural. He’s saying to you today, “A turnaround is coming.” He’s going to turn that sickness into health. He’s going to turn that loneliness into companionship. He’s going to turn that child that’s off course back into his purpose. He’s going to turn people that are against you, suddenly, they’re going to be for you. He’s going to turn that dream that looks too far gone into a reality. This is a turnaround day. You’re going to see mountains turned into molehills. What was meant to stop you is going to push you into your destiny.

To everyone that encouraged me when I shared that start up risk story,"I say a hearty thank you"and to the ones that bashed me "super thanks to you" reason is your bashing kept me on my toes so I won't fail and true true God no go shame us.
