President Bola Tinubu will, on Thursday, February 15, depart Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

The theme of this year’s summit is ‘‘Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.’’

The President will join other African leaders in high-level meetings on institutional reforms of the African Union; peace and security; specific thematic issues such as climate change, as well as modalities of participation and priorities of the continental body in the G20.

On the margins of the summit, President Tinubu will also attend an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body.

  2. I hope he's not just going there to sleep, he should take his time to learn how other African countries are making life bearable for their people.
I was in Kenya all last week and visited Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombassa. I hereby apologize to the Kenyans, Nigeria is no longer the giant of Africa. That country is so clean, sane, organized, and comfortable. There was no power cut through my stay, no street fight, no rough driving, no cursing, nothing like rogger me,,,, Kenya is like 100 light years ahead of Nigeria.

    1. When Lagos was getting cleaned up, you were the same people who complained with tribalist arguments. When single use plastics were banned in one state, complaints. When the economy was tanking due to subsidy and currency printing, the same complaints. Now with correction, complaints. Did Kenya get clean in 8 months? Are they subsidizing fuel with borrowed money? Do they have multiple parallel Forex markets? Didn't they have their time of upheaval and insecurity before gradually improving? Are they not still with a huge population of poor people and slums?

Nigeria didn't get this way within months and recovery will take time which may be longer if we are still delaying or reversing needed reforms.
