New Wife Crawls To Gift Her In Laws A Cake On Her Wedding Day

This new wife is trending on the Internet because she crawled to present a cake to her husbands family.......This is shocking and I am wondering if it was a one day thing or if this means total submission to the family of the man she married....I mean, who does this?

    3. I for say. No Nigerian women can do this or is expected to. That’s why when these other African /black countries date Nigerian men they are always singing Nigerian men praises. Because their own men dey show them shege pro max. Black men are not my cup of tea but if I was to marry black, I would marry a naija men 10 times over. In the whole black male diaspora, Caribbean o, akata o, I don notice say na only naija men sense

It's a traditional wedding rite in Tanzania and the San Diego part of Ivory Coast.

Only her mother in-law will accept the cake thereafter she blesses her womb with prayers for fertility then the cake is cut by any of her own relations and everyone eats from it.
If she's late ,her husband's sister can do it.

In San Diego, there's a small white jug that has water directly from the Atlantic Ocean, she's given the water fetched and withheld by her own mother or sister, after the cake she drinks the whole water and her mum or sister also blesses her sojourn in the new family.

      I've witnessed both rites.

    5. 🀭 Naija women go disagree o.
It means the Naija woman is almost insatiable because their men have spoiled them over.

What the Naija woman takes as or for granted or her right, most other African women jump for joy at.

    1. Yeah you got it🀝
And some in Ivory Coast too do it.

      It's for blessing her fertility.
Nigerians refer to the fruitiest in the wedding cake for fertility as the MC of the occasion counts.

There's the bride comes crawling for the blessing.

    2. It's not primitive.

In Igbo land during cutting of wedding cake, the baker is called out to analyse and bless the couple, she most times declares that the different colors of the fruities on or in the cake symbolizes fertility for birthing both boys and girls.

The cake is not cut until the baker makes declarations.
      All na tradition.
