Football Legend JJ Okocha Reacts To Trolling And Bullying Of His Nephew, Footballer Alex Iwobi

Footballer Alex Iwobi is trending because Nigerians on the Internet blame him for Nigeria's loss to Ivory coast at the African cup of nations final on Sunday February 11, 2024.
The trolling and bullying has been massive and he has deleted all his Instagram posts...
His Uncle JJ Okocha has responded with a prayer for all

  1. The truth is that, so much expectations were put on Alex Iwobi long before now when it was disclosed he's Okocha cousin or so. He hasn't live up to that expectations from Nigerians so I understand the grouse.

However, going to the extent of trolling and bullying him is what I frown at and condemned. They should let him breathe. Some of the people attacking him can't even trap ball or chest it.

Have you met the expectations of others?

  2. Uncle JJ stop gaslighting us cos I’ve also watched you as a football analyst.
I never trolled your nephew but I have nothing against people criticizing him cos I have my own reservations. At a point I was even asking myself could it be because of you that the couch sees nothing in your nephews performance. As a midfielder he did not do well so you people should allow fans to vent. The right thing is to apologize just like Nwabali did (even though he was outstanding) or stay mute and allow the whole thing fizzle out, which is a must.
This thing will surely get to a point where we won’t even be able to hold our public office holders accountable without being tagged bullies. Very soon una go accuse us of bullying Tinubu

    1. Keyboard warrior. That is your strength so keep going. You don’t know the difference between constructive criticism and bullying Nne? Keep holding him accountable for the teams’ loss. I will give you the benefit of doubt, knowledge/intelligence is far from you.

  3. Iwobi should use this as an opportunity to improve himself.
Maguire, Rashford, Vini Jr faced these things and are better today. He will be fine.

    2. Nkiru, enough with all these cry about voting credible people. Who are the credible people that would have turned Nigeria into Eldorado in eight months?

  5. They should just allow this to go away quietly instead of responding to netizens
