ALL HOPE LOST
Good day everyone,
Is there really a God? Because I've never received any uncommon favour since when I was born.
I've never received any financial favour from anyone, I'm the only one always giving, give, give and never receive, including from guys, though I make very sure that I'm not being used by guys.
Everything that others do easily, whenever it reaches my turn, it will be hard, no uncommon favour, no extra money apart from my salary, no matter how I pray.
Anytime I try to upgrade my life with the little I'm earning, it will turn to waste.
I think this life is All about luck, nothing like praying and fasting.
I'm beginning to think maybe it's time I'm also stingy with my little money since God can't use anybody to bless me, he should not also be using me to bless anybody If truly there's God because I can't feel his existence in my life.

No money,no good job, no house, no boyfriend let alone husband, my tired is tired, I dontr have faith in God again because I don't think he likes let alone loves me if truly he exists.
Hmmmm, isnt the fact that you are alive a gift´What could be better than that? you are using not getting material gifts to question Gods love for you? WOW!!!
Please know now that God loves you and your life is already a testimony... Stop comparing yourself with others and make some physical changes.... Your environment and choice of friends might be affecting things around you

Poster,I understand what you are going through but I want to tell you something: hold on to God. And know this; someone somwhere is praying to have that kind of life you think is beneath you. Your current level is someone's prayer point. Just hang in there. Don't stop praying. God loves you!!!

ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to what you're saying. Most of those people you see that things are working out for in no time, someone already paid the price to pave way for them, either greatgrand parents or their own immediate parents.
ReplyDeleteSomeone that her father already carried the baton from Oshodi to Obalende before giving her daughter will not find things difficult to achieve compared to someone whose parents are still struggling at Oshodi under bridge, and they're both going to VI.
If I open my mouth to tell you how difficult things are with me too, I achieve everything late in life, wrote my common entrance when my initial mates were writing their junior WAEC, I never repeated any class, but due to relocation and no money to enroll us. My university days, I settled for PT which I eventually spent 7yrs for a 4yrs course due to strike, left school at 27 when my mates were already through with their masters, got married at 31. During clearance nko, my supervisor forgot to submit our project results, so my results was approved in 2017 instead of 2016 that some of my friends own were approved. The day I went to collect certificate is a story for another day, just finished my clearance and they called my name out to collect my certificate during convocation, I told them I've not collected my statement of results, I was told to bring it the following week to collect my certificate, printing of statement of results that should take a day took me 3 days, when I eventually took my statement to collect my certificate, the certificate was nowhere to be found, the school later printed another one for me after 2 weeks.
The most painful part, I'm trying to relocate and I've been denied twice to Canada, this year that I'm trying it again, the government changed their rules, when I decided to go for UK, UK too stopped dependants.
One thing I've known about myself is, I will achieve that thing, but I will have to struggle and waste time, though, I'm seriously praying over this and I don't lose hope. But in my own case, people do give me money.
The only thing I know about all these is, it will be very hard to attain some certain levels if you're the first person to do that in your entire family. Out of more than 70 extended family members from my dad's side, I'm the 2nd graduate, we still have less than 10 graduates in that family. Let me rest small, but in all these, we moveeeeeeee, I'm not getting tired.
My dear sister, don't relent or relax because if you do, your children will also face the same, make sure you break that jinx, I'm doing that too until I prevail over every obstacle

Your mentality is what is killing you. Instead of being appreciative of the blessings in your life- health, family, job, the ability to help others, here you are complaining. And you wonder why your life is stagnant, it is because you lack gratitude. Even the giving you claim to do, you are not doing it from a place of love. You are doing it in the expectation that someone else will give to you. Please be thankful for the ability to help others. Live your life grateful for the little you do have instead of having "longer throat" at what others have. If you keep on focusing on others, how then do you have time to grow your own life? Learn new skills to improve your earning potential if you haven't , there are tons of free online tech skills that you can learn today; be grateful and thankful for all you have; go out with a positive attitude each day and see how your life will be transformed. Keep your trust in God and things will turn out better just because your outlook is positive and grateful.

ReplyDeletePoster you need to understand that you are your own hero; nobody can save you only Jesus can...Plus you need to change your mindset when you give and expect that you are rewarded immediately or given back...Then it is a sense of entitlement and seeing it as a TRANSACTION...The universe does not work like MMM...
Even in giving, you have to look out for yourself cause as long as the earth remains, TAKERS WILL TAKE without limit...Keep thanking God for the ones you have and stop dwelling on what you don't have...It is not easy as all humans have negative bias inbuilt but cultivate the habit....Nigeria is tough honestly tough but take it one step at a time...

Some need direction more than anything
I remember saying here recently that it’s not a good time to buy dollar. If you did last week and your money got stuck by the government, you might say why did it work for others and not for you. Sometimes timing is important
Also 2023 was tight for a lot of people. Take it easy on yourself. You have a job but you need a Better job and you want a man in your life. What’s your job? What are you credentials. What do you know how to do? Where are you trying to meet a good man? Have you tried online? SM?
Is it dashing of money that is your problem,? Is that why you think God doesn't love you? Oh please take out that type of reasoning, it'll not help your situation. God loves you sis, believe it and you'll see it manifest
ReplyDeleteSabi if you pay hospital bills on daily basis or always in one medication to another then you will know that God loves you. You even have to give to others and you are here lamenting. What of those who don't have, they don't also have to give to anyone both male and female. You should be happy that you are live, not in the hospital, not treating any illness, you are not suffering from any form of illness.
ReplyDeleteYou need to change your circle of friend, is possible they think you have more than enough to give and you don't need assistance. Consider your environment too and you need serious prayers cos sometimes it could be spiritual.

Start counting your blessings and stop counting your woes. Yes the woes are there, but focusing on them will not do you any good, rather it will keep dragging you down into more woes and lamentation.

1) You are alive
2) You can stand and walk on your own 2 legs and feet.
3) You can see.
4) You breathe naturally without any medical aid.
5) Your heart supplies blood to every part of your body on its own without any medical aid; or you even thinking about it.
6) The food you eat digests on its own and nourishes you without you even giving it a thought.
7) You fart and defecate naturally through the proper channel.
8) You are educated.
9) You have got a job.
10) You go to work safely and come back home safely every work day.
11) You slept and woke up today even when you did not know anything that happened while you slept.
Should I continue?
You may think that these are not blessings and favours, until you go to hospitals and see people being prayed for so that they can fart, or breathe naturally, or stand on their own.
PLEASE YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR MINDSET FROM COMPLAIN TO GRATITUDE, AND COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW YOU HAVE BEEN FAVOURED. YOU HAVE REDUCED GOD'S CARE OVER YOU TO JUST MONEY....

I was just like you some years ago until I learnt to count my blessing and saw that God had actually done a lot for me
I started to be grateful for the ones he had done,while having faith that in the fullness of time he will do the rest. Have I gotten all I want in life? Hell no! But God is not done with me or you yet.
You are alive( quite an achievement in the present world we live in),you have a job that enables you be able to help others. You are not fighting for your life in an hospital or fighting any terminal disease. You are not in a kidnappers or ritualist den wondering what next. Why not thank God for those things first and let EL-Roi,the God that sees you do the rest in the fullness of time. Develop a grateful heart and see what God will do in your life.
Poster, I understand how you feel , but try to always appreciate God in all things and situation. The fact that you are alive is enough miracle, that you are not bed ridden, or buying blood or water in the hospital, thank God o, because that alone is a big blessing, that you even have money to spend and not beg before you eat, thank God even if things don't work out as you have planned. Just know God has a better plan even if you can't see it. Just learn to make yourself happy and don't look at the challenges you are facing. I know you will testify soon.

ReplyDeleteDear writer, I can understand how you feel. There was a time in my life that I felt exactly how you feel right now. That was year 2018/2019, everything seemed to be working against me. All efforts proved abortive. My faith was put to the test, and my faith in God was shaken to it's roots... That's because Satan is very conning: his aim is to make children of God loose faith in the Only One that can help change our situation - God. Satan knows it's only through our faith in God that anything good can come our way, that's why he is attacking your faith and absolute trust in God. Even the Bible say: It's impossible to please God without faith... God showed me mercy, I came to my senses and cried to God for forgiveness and grace 🙏. He heard my prayers and things changed for the better for me. My dear writer, please beg God for forgiveness and put all your trust and faith in Him and Him alone. Even working hard doesn’t guarantee anything, planting seeds early doesn’t guarantee a good harvest, marrying doesn’t guarantee children, better finances or a good life. Nothing in life is guaranteed, we are all taking a gamble in everything that we do.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that God is as invested in the day to day lives of humans as many think. I think mindset has a lot to do with success. What you believe about yourself is major. I also believe that right timing is important. If you are beseeching a God to look in on your case, but that God has worlds and galaxies and universes, constantly creating and pushing through on their own plans, how would you get the attention of such a being? If you have no clue how you could get a meeting with the President of your country, then how would you get a meeting with God who a mere human president is but a grain of sand in comparison to. If you want uncommon favour and to jump levels fast, then you have to become an uncommon human. Then again, stories like yours are needed as sources of inspiration for others. In life it is the stories of those who overcame great obstacles that are remembered and told and retold, perhaps there is a greater purpose to your life than you know.

ReplyDeleteAlot of us had to struggle through life holding unto God as our only anchor.
If you gave up on God now, who would you begin to trust in? The devil? Or who?
You may not know the grace that you carry, that you even have to give people, is a blessing that you are not recognizing. What if you were living in absolute lack, not knowing where your next meal would come from?
Some people have never given out anything, not because they don't want to, but because they don't have anything to give out.
Here you are, you have enough to eat and even to give out, yet you are lamenting that people don't give you. To be able to give, is a huge blessing, you may not experience the returns now, it may be waiting for you in the future, when you have become vulnerable or your children may enjoy the fruit that their mum planted, many years ago.
