ReplyDeleteOatmeal will do just fine this morning.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy my plantain unripened, sliced in thick round shape and fried with egg sauce. Nothing this morning until noon.
ReplyDeleteI am having that meal up there in my mind right now.π In reality though, I am taking just warm water this morning.
ReplyDeleteThe oat someone gifted me, I no just understand am. Cook am finish and the oat is still as hard as it came. I also noticed it is big big. I will just dump it and go for my Quaker oat. I no get time to dey pamper food oo.
ReplyDeleteBlend and use it to make swallow.
DeleteYou can roughly blend it in a food processor or blend smooth for swallow.
DeleteWhen you cook it for porridge, dont cook for too long just for several minutes and then you take out from the cooker and cover to soften it before you serve.
Soak it for like 30 minutes before cooking it.
DeleteUsually, I'll soak it while I'm doing other stuff and by the time I'm ready to cook it, the whole thing would have been soft enough.
Oat is oat, It's the brand name and packaging that makes it different. The method you use is what makes it hard. Check the quantity you add to the water. Also know that it becomes solid when it gets cold.
DeleteDon't throw it away, rather look for the best method to enjoy it.
I have left over rice and, so I am eating it with fried stew and meat.
ReplyDeleteI just had my beans and garri.
