Actor KOK Recounts How EX Gov Peter Obi Sent Him The Prize Of A Cow For His Mum's Burial

Nollywood Actor Kanayo.O.Kanayo has narrated an upclose experience with the 2023 Presidential candidate of Labour Party(LP),Peter Obi,on how he gave him the sum of N250,000 for his mother's burial.

During an Interview with AfiaTv,KOK disclosed that in 2011,right after his mother's burial, Peter Obi had called him around 1am to send his condolences.

In his words:

"In 2011,I was to bury my mum, I had many senators who were my friends, I had many governors who were my friends, I wrote to all of them.
Two weeks after the funeral, Peter Obi called me by 1am;in his little voice and said, 'Nwannem, I just got your letter and I know the burial is over, Biko you know I would have come if I saw your letter(translating his words to English)In Igbo burial rites, I would send you a cow'.

He sent to me exactly the prize of a cow and you know... somebody would have thought that he would give you 2 million for the burial in 2011.
I want to say it on this program;I think he went to the market and prized a cow which was N250k and that was what he sent to me.

But the story here is he was a governor but he had the time to call me, some of us are too busy for our friends, when they leave office, they would be Iike 'my brother, that job wanted to kill me'.

If you can't return calls, even one week or two weeks later, we are not friends because the danger occupying a public office in Nigeria and I've said it severally, no person should fly business class when you are serving government, it should all be economy, then if you want, you can upgrade it with your personal money because remember what Lai Mohammed said that Nollywood is promoting promiscuity and rituals, who promotes rigging in election, the same you".

  6. You can always tell when a business man worked to build his businesses vs those that obtained money via illegal means and using fathom businesses as cover up by the way they spend.

  7. A man like Peter Obi. Prudent and economic savvy. Everyone always have something good to say about him. Sometimes I want ro ask if he's truly a Nigerian not to talk of a politician. His kind is rare in the Nigeria space.

    1. The other side of Mr Peter Obi.
      He's prudent. Embarrassingly so, sometimes.

If you charge him N150k to drive his Jeep from Enugu airport to his Villa,he'll pull his suit, roll his sleeves and get behind the steering, stop at 9th mile for Okpa di oku, Ugwuoba for Abacha agharigha and Amawbia for fresh corn and quality pear, happily o.

Shishi driver no go see. You don't eat from him carelessly.

  12. This is how to leave a legacy. Every single person who knows Peter OBI personally has given the same story of his kindness and generosity, while not lavishly spending just because he is wealthy. A Nigerian politician at that. Not one of his siblings or even kids is lavishing anything. What a man, the consistency is remarkable πŸ‘

      How?
Do you know anyone who sweats to earn every kobo who flings it about lavishly?
It's when you've stolen money that you start looking for every means yo oppress others and spend on what makes no sense.
Or you will pack covid maters in one where house and then bring out on your birthday and rebrand as paryy/gift packs.
