DeleteYesterday night, my son said to me, mummy, there's something I would like to tell you. Then I told him to go ahead. He said that the proprietor of their school walked into his class while he was having his lunch yesterday during break time. As the man saw him eating, he asked him what food he was eating. My son innocently answered him "yam pottage". The proprietor went ahead to ask him who prepared the food. My son still replied him "my mum". The next question was "isn't your mum working"? My son again answered "my mum doesn't work in an office, but she has a shop where she sells foodstuffs".
ReplyDeleteAt this time, my husband who was listening to our conversation got angry & said he would go to my son's school and find out why the proprietor of a school should be asking a student such questions. I told him to simply ignore. But he insisted on going there to find out. Seeing that he meant what he said, I asked him to wait till tomorrow so that we can think it through.
Do you guys think it's necessary to find out from the man or we should just ignore him as I suggested to my hubby?

A man works from home and bears the full financial responsibility of his home. He sees the look in the school team members' eyes when they come pick/return his child and see him at home almost every day.
It is not a comfortable feeling, but that is life. We see from the limits of our knowledge.
Why did you ask him not to go? I'm curious to know your reason. The questions are potential security risk questions. With the rate of kidnapping everywhere, I will advise you let your husband go and speak to him and let him know that the matter has been reported to the police and he would be the first suspect if anything happens.

They ride to work with you and go on vacation with you. Why don’t you give them an eviction notice? No more waking up with worry. Try a different approach and wake up with hope, wake up with faith, wake up with gratitude. When you get up in the morning, instead of letting those worry thoughts play, say, “Father, thank You for another beautiful day. Thank You for my family. Thank You for good health. Lord, I’m excited about my future.” Worry can’t stay in a house full of faith. Discouragement can’t stay in a house full of gratitude. Negativity can’t stay in a house full of hope.

ReplyDeleteA man in his forties just committed suicide this morning,he waited for his wife to take his girls(2) to school and he hung himself on the roof deck. I was attending a friend's son's birthday in a school in that estate but the news distabilised me and I had to go home, went up to their apartment but couldn't bring myself to see the corpse.
May God meet everyone going through one challenge or the other at the point of their needs.amen.

So there's this man in my area,marr mar to one beautiful and calm woman. The woman was ttcing or so we thought. Oga was maltreating this woman and you'd never hear pim from her. Initially I thought maybe na because of money but I learned that her people aren't poor. One Christmas the woman travelled and never came back. Oga was busy telling people that he'd sent her and barrenness back to her family. The last time I heard from her she said she got a job with Airpeace. I was happy she left.
Few months after,oga brought in another woman as new wife. Small time, new wife became preggy. Oga was over the moon. Telling everyone how his ex wife wanted to kill him with barrenness. New life gave birth and after 6mntgs she was pregnant again. Chai oga want kill himself with happiness. We were Sha happy for him.
Last Friday, oga arrested his nwa boi that he stole his goods and money worth 50m. ReplyDeleteI was at NIMC office yesterday to check why I couldn't link mine with my MTN line , I saw a large crowd mostly students who want to write jamb and other exams and need the NIN for that purpose.
We were seated in front of this NIMC officer, then it was this SS3 girl's turn to be attended to. We just heard "stand up and get out of this office".
Still wondering what the problem was, the man continued "you cannot spell your name Esther and you are in SS 3, don't ever enter this compound again".
We were perplexed.
Surprisingly, that girl may pass her WAEC and Jamb and other exams and enter higher institution.
Our educational system is finished!

It's just a custom around us to have some names guven to make and some to females. But in the actual sense, both sex can bear any name.
When I was in school then, I had 4 friends who bears names that people never believed a man can bear. Myself is Bisi , one is Bisola, another is Bukky, one also is Olufunmi and the fourth one Aderonke.
We all met at a friend's wedding sometimes last year.
