  1. DO WHAT YOU ENVISION

    Dream, and then do.
Envision, and work toward your vision.

You have an idea of what would add value to your life. Begin with that idea and then build upon it.

On its own an idea is nice to contemplate, but without action it is not much else. Go ahead, contemplate, and if the idea has merit, move forward with bringing it to life.

Allow inspiration to flow from your vision into the rest of you, and into the world. Let that inspiration empower real, focused, effective action.

Invest time and effort in what you envision. Use the experience and wisdom you gain to refine your vision, to make it resonate well with reality, and finally to fully implement that vision in the real world.

Look lovingly and respectfully at life, and envision new goodness that can be. Then utilize your skills, your time, your available resources to make it happen.

  2. Good morning friends,
Please, RESIST the urge to buy things you don't need, or else you'll get into unnecessary debts. And if you can't pay up, the same people you are trying to impress, will drag you like fairly used, Aba-made generator.
You have no idea how others get the money they spend. Na your own you know. Use your head. Invest. Spend wisely. 💯

  3. There's A Crown Waiting!!
    Revelation 3:11.

    Excerpts!!

"Imagine a Christian who was always winning souls and bringing them to church. But one day, something offended him and he stopped winning souls. If only he knew that there was a crown of righteousness waiting for him; but now, someone else was going to get it."

"Think about Saul for example; when God called Saul to be king of Israel, He promised him an eternal dynasty. Saul however lost it, and David got it (1 Samuel 13:13-14)."

"Whatever assignment is given to you to carry out in the house of God, hallow it. Do it joyfully and do it as unto Christ. Handle it with great care, because at the end of the day, the Bible says we’ll all give account to God for all that we did."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I recognize the spiritual treasures you have entrusted to me and I hold fast to them diligently. I thank you for the grace you’ve given me to complete every assignment. I refuse to be swayed by offence or distractions, but I remain resolute, steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord, committed to fulfilling your purpose for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  6. Uzor Arukwe ate that chairman role raw,he left no stone unturned.
Emeka's honesty later became his undoing. A Tribe called Judah sheds some real truth on honesty, and it begs the question, 'when last was honesty rewarded? Do we still reward honesty?
Emeka served his boss wholeheartedly, yet couldn't be rewarded for it,when the need arose. His death was real painful.
One of the reasons I love this movie is that it is difficult to choose a best act, they all delivered flawlessly. Funke might easily take the best actress but for the actors you can't choose. Maybe Uzor, bcos he is not part of the sons.
But seriously, is honesty still being rewarded? Even now, looking at my work place,I doubt anyone cares for your honesty. Does being honest really pays?
I recall when someone gave me 1500 last year ,it was an occasion and someone must have dropped the money unknowingly. So the person gave it to me,as part of the committee, I collected it and gave it to a superior, the missing money was announced by the MC,by the end of the occasion no one came forth for the money, that was how, he ended up eating the money,I just faced front and pretended to have forgotten about the money. But later,I was telling a colleague, if I had not acted stupidly? That money must have solved my T-fare for that day and more, and I just gave it to someone else for nothing. Although, she applauded, that what I did was the best. Watching a tribe called Judah, I just keep wondering, if faced with similar situation next time, would I still do same thing?

    1. The reason I commend Funke is that she didn't let any of the sons outshine each other. She gave them equal screen time.

      Delete
    2. awesome view... honestly really doesnt get rewarded these days

      Delete
    3. True Supernova, they all had adequate screen time enough to shine through their roles. I already expected Timini and Emeka's act, and was pleasantly surprised by the act that plated Shina.

    4. I love how United her sons are despite the fact that they're from different fathers.
I love Uzor Arukwe,a very fuufu guy.

    6. You are right about honesty not being rewarded and I have been in many situations that caused me to "regret" honestly sometimes. But it's man that doesn't reward most times, not God.
God always rewards and He owes no man.
So for me, it depends on whom you are looking to or you want your reward to come from.
Also , remember that whatever you do, do as unto the Lord, not man.
May God help us all, Amen.

    ✔️KNOW YOURSELF. PART NINETY-EIGHT

    BUILDING AUTHENTIC SOCIAL CONNECTIONS (7)

    CULTIVATING POSITIVE AURA

Cultivating a positive aura involves intentional efforts to foster positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Here are detailed steps to build a positive aura:

1.) Self-Awareness: Begin by developing self-awareness. Understand your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. Recognize any negative patterns and be mindful of how you respond to various situations.

2.) Positive Affirmations: Incorporate positive affirmations into your daily routine. Repeat statements that affirm your strengths, goals, and positive qualities. This practice can shift your mindset over time.

3.) Gratitude Practice: Cultivate gratitude by regularly acknowledging and appreciating the positive aspects of your life. Keeping a gratitude journal or simply reflecting on positive moments can enhance your overall outlook.

4.) Mindfulness and Meditation: Practice mindfulness to stay present and cultivate a calm mind. Meditation can help manage stress, reduce negativity, and promote a positive mental state.

5.) Surround Yourself with Positivity: Spend time with positive and uplifting individuals. Surrounding yourself with supportive friends, family, or colleagues can contribute to a more positive environment.

6.) Acts of Kindness: Engage in acts of kindness towards others. Helping others not only benefits them but also creates a sense of fulfillment and positivity within yourself.

7.) Healthy Lifestyle Choices: Physical health can impact mental well-being. Maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and ensure sufficient sleep. A healthy body contributes to a positive energy state.

8.) Set and Achieve Goals: Set realistic and meaningful goals for yourself. Working towards achievements provides a sense of purpose and accomplishment, enhancing your overall positivity.

9.) Learn and Grow: Embrace a growth mindset. View challenges as opportunities for learning and growth rather than insurmountable obstacles. This perspective fosters resilience and positivity.

10.) Practice Optimism: Train your mind to focus on positive aspects of situations. Instead of dwelling on problems, look for solutions and silver linings. Optimism is a key element of a positive aura.

11.) Cultivate Humor: Incorporate humor into your life. Laughter has numerous benefits, including stress reduction and mood enhancement. Surround yourself with humor, whether through entertainment or spending time with funny friends.

12.) Express Love and Positivity: Share love, compliments, and positive feedback with others. Expressing positivity not only benefits them but also contributes to a more positive social environment.

13.) Forgive and Let Go: Holding onto grudges or negative feelings can weigh you down. Practice forgiveness, both towards others and yourself. Letting go of resentments contributes to emotional well-being.

Building a positive aura is an ongoing process that requires consistency and conscious effort. Small, daily actions and mindset shifts can lead to a more positive and uplifting presence over time.

  16. SEEK THE SPIRIT’S DIRECTION

'The Spirit... will lead you into all truth.' John 16:13 NCV

Making decisions without seeking God's guidance is like trying to fly without radar and a compass. You can do what makes sense based on your past knowledge and experience, but what 'looks right' can end up destroying what's most important to you. The Bible says even the most profound human thinking is foolish to God (see 1 Corinthians 1:18-20). He alone knows the way, and he wants to go ahead of you.

It's a mistake to assume that every opportunity is from God. Paul says, 'Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light' (2 Corinthians 11:14 NCV). And while his invitations are packaged to look like he has your best interests at heart, his way invariably leads to ruin (see John 8:44). God's word was designed as 'a lamp for [your] feet and a light for [your] path' (Psalm 119:105 NCV) to guide you in the ways of righteousness. That's why it can be fatal to pursue a path that seems right to you without first consulting him. Jesus said, 'When the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words, but...only what he hears, and he will tell you what is to come' (John 16:13 NCV).

Most of us don't naturally seek God. It's only as his Spirit speaks to our hearts that we start desiring his will. Take time to seek the Holy Spirit's direction. Trust him. He understands the ramifications of your choices. He will show you 'the big picture' and help you stay on the right road.

  19. PARENTS TAKE NOTE.!!!
A teacher started checking homework done by her students. Her husband is strolling around with a smart phone playing his favorite game.
When reading the last homework notes, the wife starts crying with silent tears.
    Her husband asked, ‘What happened?’
Wife: ‘Yesterday I gave homework to my students, to write something on the topic, 'MY WISH ’.
Husband: ‘OK, but why are you crying?’
Wife: ‘While checking the last notes, it made me cry.’
Husband curiously: ‘What’s written in the notes that makes you cry?’
    Wife: LISTEN......
My wish is to become a smart phone.
My parents love their smart phone very much.
They care about their smart phone so much that sometimes they forget to care for me.
When my father comes from the office tired, he has time for his smart phone but not for me.
When my parents are doing some important work and smartphone is ringing, within single ring they attend the phone, but not to me...
    even if I am crying.
They play games on their smartphones not with me.
When they are talking to someone on their smartphone, they never listen to me even if I am telling them something important.
So, MY WISH is to become a smartphone.
After listening to the note my husband got emotional and asked the wife, ‘Who wrote this??’.
    Wife: ‘OUR SON ’.
    PEOPLE / PARENTS, remember,
Gadgets are beneficial, but they are for our ease not to cease the love amongst family and loved ones.
Children see and feel everything that happens with & around them.

  22. I have an 8am to 5pm daily job, from Monday to Friday. I am currently running a Postgraduate program in Uniabj. I try to do business last year like selling of tshirt, singlets, boxers, socks, jerseys cos I work with 97% male and 3% female.

The business was moving till after a while that credit from staff didn’t let me breathe, some collect items but to pay was a problem, some will pay me in pieces, others will want to pick a fight with me just to make sure they didn’t pay. I have to write off some money cos some staff lost their job, some had serious health issues and so many things made me to stop the business. I lost both capital and my personal savings, at the end I couldn’t boast of 50k . Something I started with 250k oh, it wasn’t easy for me to move pass.

This year I am thinking of doing another line of business but I am confused about the kind of business to venture into. With the nature of my work, the kind of people I work with, please give me tips of what type of business to try this year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. office business is never easy at all, you need to have a tough skin to be able to survive credit. You need to rethink before you start any new business cos business is not for the faint in heart.

      Delete
    2. First off sorry about what happened to your business...

I believe that you need to do away with doing business with sentiments. Do away with credit sales for now...You can do this later when your business has maintained some form of stability and you know the ones that would normally pay.

I will suggest snacks e.g meatpie, eggrolls e.t.c or if you want to continue with the same line of business; expand your customers..Have you tried pitching your products with your postgraduate colleagues and making use of your social media e.g Whatsapp to reach out to your customers....

      All the best

  31. Good morning everyone! So, I completed the ADIRE movie and here are my observations:

    (a) Everyone brought in their A Game from the Lead Actress Kehinde Bankole, Supporting role Funlola Aofeyibi-Raimi to the Ibadan Skit maker lady.

    (b) I see there was a struggle on the settings on the movie...It is set for the 90s or 2000s or present day? Then could it have been better as a series or as a movie?

    (c) The continuity of the movie: Was Yvonne Jegede aware of Adire's affair with her husband? Nothing was said about Yemi Blaq after the fire incident? I believe more development on the story would have given it a notch higher....

Overall, I will give it a 3-star rating⭐⭐⭐ Great Attempt
