EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN

My husband is the 3rd child out of 6. Had worked his way up to the top in the oil and gas industry. A benevolent man, always had the back of his siblings even at the expense of his immediate family.

More than 4 decades ago, his brother started a bungalow but couldn't finish it. Being more buoyant at that time, my husband contributed heavily towards the completion of the house and everyone moved in.

Much later in their lives, they married yet were all living in the same twin flats. As I speak with you, all the other boys have built their houses leaving my husband and the original builder of the house.

Today, they woke up and told my husband that they want to renovate the house. Of course that is the only ploy they can use to move us out. I overheard my husband telling someone to help him secure his property. This nearly brought me to tears but instead I started worship.

I had always adviced my husband to start our own but he always procrastinated. Unfortunately, he is no longer in a position where he can achieve this within a twinkle of an eye. However, I started the project but not without heavy knocks from him.

So young people, note that in Africa, anybody that builds the foundation of a house is the owner of the house no matter how much you put in. Make hay while the sun shines.

GOD WILL NOT ALLOW US SEE SHAME. AMEN.

Hmmmmm na wah...So now that you are building the house, if anything goes wrong with your hubby, the house is yours and you wont share property?

GIST FROM SUNDAY SP AND CONTINUATION

PART 1
So about my family friend that turned enemy....
I came to this town in 2016 a new bride, my husband is close to lots of Igbo people here, he loves their ways and learns from them too, joined a club in fact he is now their current chairman..

But there is a particular family he is very close to, they are very nice, the man is very has been to our village sef, so u know how close we are, my husband introduced me to them, the wife is a nice woman, at first i was close to her, babysit for her but she is very controlling and can insult very well, so after sometimes , let call her mama chi, i made another friend with mama ko,both women don't talk to each other because mama chi has insulted mama ko behind her back and she heard, I have to settle them because mama chi desperately want to be friends with mama kos oh..
In our church mama kos husband is one of the richest and a giver, very nice man so plenty ass lickers dey..

PART 2
So let me tell u about mama chi....
She is a manipulator, lies a lot, once she's not in good terms with a person she expects her friends to go against the person too, she used to have a best friend mama E, they are not friends anymore, mamaE cried, apologized but she mama chi said no way, they can't be friends again, mamaE husband is very rich but stingy and mamaE has her own money too oh,
So mama chi desperately needs another friend, me no dey available, we are not mate naw, so she got one other family to be friends with...

Now let me tell u about this family..
The s family.. We are from the same state, village but we are not in good terms.. My husband was working with babas before then, when they suddenly said, my husband should leave that his mum want to 'check'and was told my husband will pack all his customers.. Ah how now, he begged and begged, babas refuse, and that was how he left, so since then, they have not been in a good term even before I came to this town but when I came I didn't inherit it, so talk to the family and gist with them..

Part 3 is where problems started

Ah my Antenna dey tell me say this gist go sweeeeeeet!!!...Very easy to understand and flows well.........
If you have an Antenna say ohon ohon!!!

*KIDNAPPING IS ON THE INCREASE NOW: PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING MEASURES ! !
 !*

The only way to be your brother's keeper in Nigeria today is by sharing any security tips that can be of help.

We wish to share with you some few security tips to guard your daily activities henceforth because the current state of insecurity in the country is really alarming.

The only person to trust now in this country is yourself and your God! Therefore, to avoid being a victim of kidnapping, please read the following tips and share with your loved ones now to save them from harm.

Tip 1. Never use car stickers that say where you work, especially if you have a prestigious job.

Tip 2. When travelling, don't leave too early and make sure you are at your destination before 6 pm at latest.

Tip 3. Never share pictures of your kids in their school uniforms or badges. Protect your kids!

Tip 4. When you attend parties, don't let the band get you so high that you start spraying money. Use an envelope.

Tip 5. Don't be the one that tries to empty the ATM machine by making large withdrawals. You don't need 50k in your wallet to feel like a man.

Tip 6. Always delete your bank transaction notifications, especially SMS. You really can memorize your bank balance, and don't forget to shred/destroy your POS/ATM receipts.

Tip 7. Don't go jogging while it's dark. You really should be smarter than that. If you can, get someone trusted as company.

Tip 8. Always lock your doors, even if you're only going out to switch off your generator.

Tip 9. NEVER! NEVER EVER WEAR YOUR ID Card outside your workplace. No one needs to know where you work

Tip 10. Be accountable to your spouse or parents, and let someone know where you are at every point.

Tip 11. As much as you can, don't send kids alone on errand outside your house. They are soft targets.

Tip 12. Don't try to show that you are the richest in the neighbourhood by making large donations in your estate meetings and learning modesty.

Tip 13. When you give, give with modesty and privately, learn to say "I can't spare that amount now."
Tip 14. Don't stay late in your office long after closing hours. That deadline work can be done later or at home if you wish.

Tip 15. Make safety the number one factor in your decision always!
Tip 16. Mind what you post about yourself on social media.
Tip 17. Never make any attempt to open your gate/door to even your child, brother, or any relative in the night, particularly dead nights. They might be used to get you easily. NO MATTER WHAT JUST TELL THEM, TILL IN THE MORNING.

  11. Did you know?

If you microwave an egg (with shell or without shell) ; it will explode—Well, I am sure many of us know this.

However, the reason why it explodes, some of us may not know. So this is it!

There is water inside every egg and when you cook them or boil them or heat them up to a certain point, the water turns into steam, and this steam because of the enclose surface of the egg doesn't have an easy way to escape. So, reaching a point that it can no longer be accommodated, it then force itself out of the egg, by exploding. This doesn’t only happen in the microwave though. It happens also when you are trying to cook rice and then you add eggs inside the boiling rice. And later, you see an egg or two already bursted.
    1. Those bursted eggs are the ones that most sat at the bottom of your pot and had receive more heat while those that are just okay, are the ones that received lesser heat.

    2. Also, you need to understand that the longest an egg should use on your gas cooker is 5/10 minutes max.

  13. God said in Isaiah, “Even to your old age, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you.” You never get too old for God to carry you. As much as you love carrying your small children, holding them, protecting them, making sure they feel safe and secure, Your Heavenly Father loves carrying you. When you’re tempted to worry, feel overwhelmed, “Joel, I don’t think I can make it through this sickness. How can I make it through this loss? These people at work are not fair.” Instead of worrying, just say, “God, I thank You for carrying me. I don’t see a way, but I know You control the universe. You’re my provider, my protector, my deliverer, my way maker.” The fact is God is carrying you right now, but if you don’t recognize it, you’ll live stressed out, upset. No, you’re in your Father’s arms. He’s holding you tightly. Nothing can snatch you away.

    2. On Saturday night, my brother had just called me he will be coming over to my place. By 11pm I called him and he said he won't make it but the next day.

Guess what? At 12am mid morning I got a call from him to tell me he was on his way coming to my place but some group of guys held him down. He just called to let me know he's safe. Immediately one of them took his phone and spoke with me.

      I became frightened

    3. So I called his line and it was switched off. When I called again after few seconds it rang and went off. A minute later, a number called and was asking if I know the person that called me first. I told him yes that he's my younger brother. He asked several questions of what I am doing and all that. I responded and he asked me where am I at the moment and I responded.

Fortunately, all this was happening close by. They told me if i know so so place and junction? I said yes. They told me to come there.

I went immediately and it happen that those guys were vigilante. After interrogation, they let him go. Already all what he told them and what I also said when I came corresponded.

We left and got to my place. I was very mad with him seeing all the happenings going on in the country. I almost got high Bp that night thinking it was kidnappers.

One of the vigilante told him to be careful, for he may not be lucky next time and will be handed over to the police if at all he was beaten before taking him there.

He told me he had almost gotten to my junction before they accosted him. I think he went somewhere and when it was late, he couldn't go back home and decided to reach my place that late night.

    1. Absolutely right!!!

Effort is a proof of love. If someone loves you, they’ll put effort into prioritizing you, they’ll put effort into communicating with you, they’ll put effort into doing things that tickle your soul, and they’ll put effort into doing better. And where there is effort, there are fewer excuses. When there’s always an excuse why they couldn’t show up, call and check in, then, there’s no effort. Well, I’ll say there’s no love. Effort! Watch out for it!

How do you feel, taking decision on your own without considering your wife or husband?

On X everyone is a blogger. I said so cos, the level of intellectuals found there is amazing.

News reportage and happenings at a go with the speed of light. Advert gets to a large audience. People being blessed by total strangers donations. I can go on and on..

So many positive there but you won't be spared if you tweet trash. The dragging no be here and from people across all tribes.

  32. Please i have a question that has been bugging me.
If Jesus really died for our sins, then why do we tell people that commit bad that they wud go to hell? Why be good at all? It means it doesn’t matter whether u are good or bad since the sins have already been paid for. Pls any explanation on this?

    1. Yes Christ died for our ssins and it's only those who openly acknowledge his death, the works of the cross and accept Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and savior, can be saved

    2. Heaven is for only those who have 'accepted' Jesus as their Lord and saviour. That Jesus paid the price doesn't automatically mean free ticket to Heaven, the Bible says you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.
Does paying a child's school fee qualifies the child to get first position? Without the necessary steps, that child would still fail woefully and might even have to repeat class.
Once you've accepted Christ and become filled with the Holy spirit, you are expected by His help to flee away from all forms of evil. You can't claim to be a child of God and still be living in and enjoying sin and think you will go to Heaven because Christ died,His death is to free you from sin and not for you to continue in sin.
Shall we continue in sin,so grace may abound? God forbid.
A Christlike life is a life that detest sin.

    3. Firstlady, paying a child’s sch fees definitely guarantees him a seat in the sch. Which in this case is heaven.
Anon, my question is dfntly for the christains that openly accept like u have said, so does that mean anybody that accepts Jesus as their Lord, doesnt need to worry about the sins they have committed? Ppl can make that declaration in all honesty, and still fall in to sin. For instance murder, theft etc. Does that mean they won’t be called to account for anything they have done because their sins are paid for? So what is the point of all the rules in the bible

  40. Good afternoon everyone and how's your day going.

Ohon ohon for that sweet gist, waiting for the part3.

That story up there reminded me of the one that happened to a woman I know. Her mother inlaw had a plot of land. When her hubby was looking for land to buy so as to start building, the mother told him to use her own, after all she is an old widow and he's her son. After they finished building, they moved in and the mama moved in with them. Then wahala started. Long story short, mama finally drove them out of the house.

Thanks for the safety tips, may God help us.

Bvs enjoy the rest of your day, make I enter Monday market.
    E go surely be ✌️
