ReplyDeleteI was given a prepaid meter with over 100k debt after getting my apartment in 2022. All effort to get the owner of the house and lawyer to sort the debt was in vain.
Rent is due and they want us to pay without talking about the debts on the meter. I mentioned the debt to the care taker he said it will be sorted after rent is been renewed
Send email/text, document your communication and make sure the caretaker/whoever you pay the rent to responds via email or text that they will clear the debt when the rent is paid. Verbal promises can easily be denied.
