DeleteI was in Okene last weekend and this was my first visit throughout the year 2023. I met an old driver of ours when we were in primary school.
ReplyDeleteThe moment I opened the gate, he was there with a keg trying to get water and he looked so frail. I used to know him to be very energetic and cheerful, we even learnt some Ebira words and songs from him. This man will carry us like the kids we were and skillfully create a space for us in his already-filled car then drive us all home.
Solardad, Divine Kiddies and Christ the King were the three major schools he usually picked their students to and from school every day. My parents and some others hired him to do this.
I became cold seeing him like that, he didn't recognise me at all. He had lost so much weight and he didn't look too okay to me.
As I walked away, I couldn't control the enormous pity I had for him. Life happens in different ways. You will age and it has no antidote.

ReplyDeleteA snake crawled over a sharp saw and was cut. In anger the snake wrapped the Saw with its thick body and proceeded to squeeze the life out of the Saw.
With each angry squeeze it felt more pain but continue because it wasn’t going to let the Saw get away with the pain it caused it.
The snake, refusing to let go of the Saw, eventually died; not knowing the whole time, he needed to let go of the initial pain and focus on its future; where it was going.
Unfortunately the snake eventually lost its life in anger and vengeance.
REMEMBER:
Not all battles are worth fighting.
At times letting GO is actually WINNING.
Control your anger.
Forgive those that hurt you and move on.
The pain cannot be compared to your glorious destiny.
Never give people power over you.

The best gift is JESUS CHRIST. gift your child Jesus and watch his/her end beautiful and peaceful. The end I'm talking about is the end of his/her existence on earth. Remember God said in his word that "the thoughts he has for us is the thought of good and not evil to bring us to our expected" end which is heaven at last.
The bible said train up a child in the way he should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it.
These days many parents wants there children to get the best of the best not knowing that what is generally accepted as the best in this world is trash in the sight of God. While you are on the journey to equip your child in aquiring the best, make Jesus a part of that best.
It is such a beautiful thing to watch your kids discuss God in there little understanding and knowledge, and i bet you, God cherishes those special moments.
While other parents who have sworn to never be a part of anything christainity are busy equipping there children with carnal and vain things, you as a child of God should not be pressured to do so. In this age you will see a mother giving her 18yrs old daughter money for butt surgery, instead of modest clothes, parents now prefer there children looking like gangsters and harlots. A little child that you should be directing in the right path. Yahoo is now something many are proud of, etc.
Whatever you do with your children, remember you shall give account. Be among the remnants of those still keeping the undiluted code and coduct of true christainity.
Refrain from joining the crowd to propagate evil.
The devil is gaining more grounds by your active participation of vain and ungodly practices and conduct.
Your stand in christ will make a lot of Difference.
Jesus is counting on you today. Are you ready to be the change he seeks.
Kids who have parents who guide them in a godly way don't know what they have. On parents preferring their kids looking like gangsters and harlots, everyone now wants to be woke and not let kids be kids anymore. Kids are now beginning to look like adults. What will they look like when they finally become adults?

ReplyDeleteThe security men were protesting and they called for a compulsory emergency meeting. During the meeting. People were asked to introduce themselves including their WhatsApp name. Oh my father!!, If you see the personalities and appearance of most of the people with those big, beautiful WhatsApp names, making so much noise even threats on the group, I swear you will regret ever engaging them in any discussion in that group.
One (BOSS) he was so vocal and boastful. I can't even describe how he looked in real life.. The responsible once in the group are the most humble..
This year don't allow anyone take your sleep. 90% of them don't worth it. They are looking for where to drop their personal struggles and pains. Kindly dodge it. You worth more.

I saw a little girl steal chocolate from her mother's shop. She walked away hastily after the deed. Her older brother (who had gone inside to get me some change for the money I paid for stuff I bought) came outside and said he knew that the girl stole something and ran away. I laughed. His statement made me know that she had been known to regularly steal stuff. I didn't deny not affirm his statement. This happened three days back.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I saw the little girl and confronted her. She denied it. Lol. I insisted that I saw her. She became scared. I calmed her down a bit and made her promise not to do it again as I also promised not to tell her mum. I hope she changes.
