DeleteBeing a wag will suit her wellπ
I admire how she revamped her dressing and social media image. She used to dress like akwuna.
DeleteThis is beautiful to see.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Hilda.
You're doing well
ReplyDeleteChanging your name From Adetokunbo to Antetokounmpo, all just to become Greece citizen, no wonder Antetokounmpo is not popular in Nigeria despite his fame. πππ
ReplyDeleteHere I am thinking his dad is a foreigner because of the nameπ
DeleteFrom his story, he did NOT, the others called him that while growing up… try bearing Izuchuckwu or Oluwapamilerin in the US and see if anyone ever pronounces your name correctly or they turn it into an Alias or convenient form. From my experience you will get tired of correct ting everyone and adopt the easy form they call you! It’s exhausting. Instead of blaming the wicked rulers that have ruled Nigeria since the 70s and made migration inevitable for many…He just went with the flow.
DeletePeople judge what they don’t know or truly understand. At least he bears an ethnic Nigerian name that the Greek couldn’t pronounce. Unlike the black ghetto names (born out of civil rights protest & a longing for the homeland) “Jayden, Jason, Tyler, now common in Nigeria. Soon Nigerians will start naming their children “Kenya, “Kenyatta, Nigeriana”, Kwame etc because AA were looking to Africans for a sense of belonging and pride meanwhile the ones they looked to had inferiority complex and started copying them. What did the Bible say about removing “the log in your eyes before trying to remove the speck in someone’s eyes”.
He did not changed his name.go n watch the movie antentokounkpo and understand what happened.
DeleteStella Hilda dis not invite them to her house, this is his first time coming to Nigeria and they did a short movie Home coming produced by WhatsApp and I believed Hilda was paid to cook for them.they also visited fela shine and balogun market.
Anon 11:38 his name is ugochukwu not izuchukwu
Deletehe did not change his name, I think a wicked immigration officer or lawyer did that to his parents, you need to watch the movie dedicated to their journey, his parents went through a lot, it's so sad their dad did not live long to enjoy the fruit of his labour.
DeleteFelicity
Anon 12:14, I used Izuchukwu and Oluwapamilerin as EXAMPLES of what we go through in the diaspora where our names are mispronounced. Read my comment. I said he got tired of how they mispronounced his name and just adopted it. He is a Yoruba boy how can I say he is Izuchukwu? Comprehend before correcting . It’s a good skill.
DeleteAntetokumpo is the way the Greece pronounce the words that form the name. The young man has addressed this matter on several platforms.
