  7. I don't know how this sounds but I am glad I am a man. How can you spend so much in training your Daughter, give her good education and then she might end up with a numbskull as a husband that might be abusing her both physically and mentally and she won't have the guts to leave? Even if you try to make her see why she has to leave, she still won't leave?
I still can't phantom why women marry down and still get dumped by same low life! Anytime I see women excelling in their respective fields, the thought that "all will end up in the kitchen" keeps cropping up!
Your parents paid for your higher education and then you ended up as a full time housewife or selling provisions...isn't that a wasteful investment?
See as them marry /sell this ones off like packs of rotten tomatoes! No matter how intelligent a lady is, once she falls for a wrong guy, everything dustbin.....This I can't get over...

    1. Breathe in,out,in,out, calm down is not all women that marry down, most women with high i.q and educational qualification still marry up,some to older men which the whole society will label such women as golf diggers, some as successful single mothers, which other successful older men are queuing to marry, the level ground is do what makes happy and gives u peace of mind.

    2. 12:07, u sound ignorant, at least before u make some comments read up on cultures and religions. Firstly, not everybody marries down. That bride price you saw up there does not determine the financial standing of the husbands. That is Islam, the bride price is low, and we don’t give long list to the groom and his family to the point of negotiation or the man would spend days thinking of where to raise that kind of money to meet up with the long list the dad gave him.

And to your point about ending up in the kitchen, that is not always the case. Some of us are still professionals. Besides not everybody likes to work. That is the lie oyinbo people told you, that if u are not working you are wasting, after all even in the US there are full time house wives by choice. So some women agree to stay home and raise the ‘home’ despite having their degrees.

Take me for instance, i’m a lawyer, and i am working because i want to, yes after every every, i still end up in the kitchen to cook for my family, and i love it. Guess what? my husband paid 50k for my bride price, and he is not some low life, he is a military officer. 2 kids on, and he has never been a low life.
Finally, try not to be myopic, ur way of doing things, isn’t the only way of doing things and ur culture isn’t superior to any other culture.

    3. Well said @anony 16.24. some people are just so myopic. S lot of women choose to be stay at home moms or business women even after their education. Absolutely nothing wrong with that and it doesn't make her less valuable. And what's with the nonsense ending up in the kitchen thing? It's so annoying.

    4. If you are going to end up in the kitchen as a full time house wife, why waste your parents money to get educated? You for kukuma go cooking school na, it's less expensive!

    5. 19:17, another ignorant comment spotted. There is something about education that changes ppl and the way they think. Those women want what education does to ppl. The aim of education is not just to work. It refines you, it shapes ur line of thot and everything. Like i said earlier, some families agree that the man would be the sole provider, while she sets her degrees aside and raise the kids. Some women even voluntarily offer to do that. No, she is not less valuable she just chose to be a full time house wife just the same way u chose to be a working class person.

    6. I will continue to reiterate that most house wives should just stop at secondary schools, at least you will know how to read and write. Proceeding to Uni is a TOTAL waste of money if all your professionalism (University degree) will end up warming a man's bed and cooking for him!
This is not about religion or culture, it's just common sense!
