ReplyDeleteFor me as an English teacher I have lots of them.
ReplyDeleteEvery silent letter words such as bomb, tomb, debt, listen, psychology etc
Words with /f/ represented as ph- phone, phonics etc
Words that have sounds so different from the spellings like quay (key), suite(sweet) etc
The one that still pains me till tomorrow is when what I'm hearing is (nimonia) but English rule says I should spell as pneumonia 🤔🙄
