Nollywood Movie Producer and Actress, Funke Akindele has revealed why she does not practice Law despite studying it at the University of Lagos.
During an interview with BBC Yoruba she said
"Truly I studied law at the University of Lagos. My father wanted me to be a lawyer. When he was alive, he was always saying 'You will become a Lawyer'.I just wanted to act on stage. I wanted to sing and dance.
I would say okay, let me study this law and give it to you. When I study this law, I will go back to my acting.I never regretted studying law because it reflected in my works. Because I love criminal law so much. I like a law where someone errs against the law and is sentenced. All the investigations.
If you notice, you will see that I usually add up what I have studied in my work. Law and my work can be hand in hand. And I never regret studying law. But I have not been practicing law.
Nowadays,I have been thinking about it. I can do it"

ReplyDeleteFunke did not graduate. All these celebs can lie.
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteIt's likely she graduated later, May be not with her set, she can not just come out and lie against an institution that have records.
DeleteWere you in her class at University and or the Law School?
DeleteIf you know she didn't graduate at first, do you know if she has gone back quietly to complete the course
Hmmm
DeleteShe did not speak like a lawyer up there aswear
DeleteI think she graduated but no Law School yet, which qualifies her as a Barrister. There are so many of them like that in entertainment circle bcoz Kae School is even tougher than d four years spent in Uni. Very very tough & no expo or ‘who u know’. Even if u are d President’s child , it’s either pass or fail. It happened to one of Buhari’s daughters.
DeleteBlog king D didn't graduate too.
DeleteThat's why his lies irritate me a whole lot.
Boy, didn't smell Law School.

Baby,please don't be offended.
DeleteI would have gone to browse but I'm lazy.
What's the difference between diploma and studying law. B.A or LLB.
I thought it's the law that allows them to be addressed as barrister na
Basically, law is not your passion and never was.
ReplyDeleteI never knew she studied law.
ReplyDeleteweldone.
ReplyDeleteShe no go law school na
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great
ReplyDeleteYou can do it baiby 💃🏻
ReplyDeleteYou were born to be an actress and you are doing great in it, kudos to you mama.
ReplyDeleteShe has an LLB but she is not a lawyer . You have to attend the Nigerian Law School, pass the bar exams and be called to the bar before you can be a 'lawyer' in Nigeria. She found her niche in acting and is successful at it. Kudos to her
ReplyDeleteLawyer and barrister know the difference
DeleteDunce. She's a lawyer.
DeleteWhen she attends Law School she'll become a Barrister.
