Edo State-born, Enugu-based actress, Christabel Egbenya via her YouTube channel has advised married couples with children to go for DNA test.
This generated mixed reactions, raising questions whether the actress might have bitten more than she could chew but in a chat with Potpourri she stood her ground and explained the reason she said what she said...
“DNA has really helped a lot of men and women to know if the child they have at home is actually their own or not. Again most people have opened up to their partners in respect to a child who is not their own biologically. All this is a in a bid to avoid public embarrassment and also disappointment from their partnersFurthermore, it has reduced the rate of women getting a child outside marriage, because many women these days are scared of having babies outside their home because one thing or the other might implicate them,” she told Potpourri.

The opinion of a pickme , patriarchy princess or public service agent.
DeleteDNA should be done on BOTH the man& THE WOMAN.
42 babies trafficker and other stories has shown baby theft and swapping is real

DeletePlease read what she said
"DNA has really helped a lot of men and women to know if the child they have at home is actually their own or not."
That covers baby swapping, right?
Then read this @Dante at 15:46
"Just know every lady that gets mad about DNA test is guilty.."
I just referred to what has been written here o!
Basic common sense. I don't know why the national assembly hasn't moved for this to be passed into law and made compulsory.
ReplyDeleteChurches do demand for HIV and pregnancy tests before joining the couple on the altar. I don't see why they can't demand DNA tests before accepting any child for dedication.
This isn't about trust. This is about doing right by the child and indeed both father and mom. I don't see why anyone should say no to peace of mind.
This is something women activists should strongly be campaigning on. Except there's something they know and they don't want to talk about.
No need for too much talk..
DeleteJust know every lady that gets mad about DNA test is guilty.. you need no other evidence before sending her to the street where she belongs..
From the street she emerge, to the street she returns..
You don't have to wait for them to be telling 'your' wife to turn and hold the bench in a public market stall at night, because of cream money like that gist here the other day..
We stay dogged and ... In our quest
Person dey think since say the two more visible pro-Mohbad activists go don gada money for him wife for DNA to protect the dignity of ....
DeleteBut whosai. Activism neva reach DNA testing side.
But DNA shouldn't be done only because of cheating. It should also be done to ensure parents received their child.
DeleteHow do you mean?? That they should pass compulsory DNA test into law. When will it be done?
DeleteAfter each child birth or what??... Where is trust again?
17:16
DeleteShe listed that too. But once some of women hear DN wahala starts.
Yes, I get mad about DNA test. So what exactly am I guilty of?
DeleteEka,
DeleteNa you wey ask question go answer am truthfully for your mind.. I no get strength to argue the obvious.
I have said what I have to say
Anon 17:49. Trust ain't currency. Substantive proof is. Pretty sure thats why some embassies request for DNA tests. Trust is bullshit! A couple of years back, a retired professor in Abuja found out that 4 kids he had trained from kindergatin to University and even masters level in the UK aren't his.
DeleteThat's 4 kids! Decades of labouring for bastards! Now tell me. Will you want that for your brother? Will you want that for your son?
When a woman says a man should trust that the kids are his, that's fine. When she can prove the kids are his, that's best!
Normally you get mad at anything that upholds moral values so you madness doesn’t count here.
DeleteHopefully, it will reduce married women's promiscuity if DNA comes to the front bunner of every home.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying a chronic cheating woman shouldn't cheat ooo, but don't bring in another man's child and pin on your husband.

No man and no woman should cheat in marriage.
DeleteAlright
ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteNa she sabi. My husband and I know when we conceived our babies.
ReplyDeleteHmm... So your husbands EDD was when?
DeleteI am down with DNA but I will not accept you embarrassing me in the process when you fully know there was no cheating. Speaking from experience most men will go any length to disgrace you just because they want to opt out
ReplyDeleteThe best gift a woman can give her
ReplyDeleteman on his birthday is provable certification that the kids are his.
Should I raise the volume for those at the back?
Any man who knows his woman’s cycle and keeps track of his copulation will be able to know that his kids are his. Strange semen from another man will change how a woman smell for weeks. Even the way her breath smells will be different if she is kissing someone else or doing other things with her mouth. The smell of strange semen in a woman does not just wash off with a shower and spray of perfume. Get to know your spouse and no man can ever be deceived. Even the dna test can be in error, your nose won’t fail you. Use your nose! Some of you have big hippo noses and it’s only full of booger nothing else. Mtsscchhwww
DeleteI'm a woman and I support DNA 100%
ReplyDeleteSame here
DeleteI used to see DNA test as an insult but not anymore. In fact, I will gladly welcome DNA test for my kids. My inyanga for hubby go increase more than that of dollar to naira. I say yes to DNA test.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this to be passed into law so that my uncle's eyes can open
