The company has debunked the rumors that one of the bottles up there are fake, they said one is old can while the other is new can and to a certain extent the old ones are still in circulation. I think what we should really be concerned is the content, the reason I hardly buy most of these drink from the local seller. Make God dey save pesin.

DeleteI buy big bottle water with shrink wrap and cap directly from the water company van. Sometimes, when removing the shrink wrap, I see the cap has been torn as if reused. I just throway face to avoid overthinking it
This one is even better. Earlier in the week some folks in Lagos were caught producing fake eva wine and hennessy. You need to see how dirty the environment was. The whole house they were using was flooded with dirty swamp water close to a foot deep and they were carrying out production right in that mess.

ReplyDeleteMargins: the quality of production required for an original product coupled with R and D, marketing, staffing , quality control, warehousing, brand development, state or nation wide distribution etc will eat up the margins by about 90 percent. As it is, the junk they mix together makes them far more per bottle compared to what the original product makes for the company, it's shareholders and it's staff.

ReplyDeleteFor those abroad, I'll say it's perhaps better to steer clear of the malt drink products from popular or fringe brands for now till the brand can establish trust and subject themselves to standard testing. Quality control can be tricky if you can just load a container with whatever and distribute globally.
