After she won,she went off the radar,I guess that was a defining moment for her, maybe she was trying to decide which path to follow.
And she choose the gospel.All her songs has been a hit back to back.Inasmuch,as she is playful, you can tell she works hard also. There is hardly a neighborhood you pass by, without hearing a Mercy Chinwo song.One of the reasons, I love her songs is that the Lyrics are simple,not complicated at all.
She has won so many awards.When I saw her name listed as one of the top three female musicians alongside Tiwa and Simi in Nigeria,I was proud of her.Its a rare thing for gospel musicians to be recognised in such light.
And then came her wedding,which broke the internet.When I first heard she was getting married,I screamed with so much delight as if she was a relative.I kept praying,God let this be the right partner for her,she has served you lord through her music, Looking at Pastor Blessed,the lord has indeed Favoured Mercy.
Watching her perform at the Akwa ibom Christmas carol, shaking hands with dignitaries,a month after returning to the country with her baby,I couldn't help but feel admiration for her, for how far she has come.

Something happened last month in my area..
There a boutique that is opposite my shop..
The boutique belong to one lady..
She is a young lady of about 40 years..
She have a teenager son who is into Yahoo.
For like two weeks her boutique was looked ..
There another another lady who also have a tailoring shop close to her..
She is my friend then I asked her why her neighbor shop is looked.
She told me her was arrested bcs she killed one little girl
for Yahoo ritual.

ReplyDeleteI celebrate myself and my daughters today and always bcos we did break barriers . My first daughter was called all sorts of names bcos she was trying to find her feet , today she is a graduate and also serving her country. She did her introduction recently with her fiancee who is a graduate also they both start from scratch. They both had joint business, very hard working and my second daughter is study "quantity survey"after so many failed jamb but she never gave up. She is also an artist and make up artist. I had my first daughter at the age of 18 yrs. We have come a long way and my God had never left us alone even though people did. My girls are my women crush on today and forever.
