Man Arrested For Killing His Mum And Sister After Mum Reported Him To Kinsmen For Drug Addiction

An Anambra-Enugu based man,Somadina Orji,aged 25 has been reportedly arrested by the police over the murder of his mother,Mrs Charity,and his sister,Miss Ukamaka,and burying them in shallow graves in their backyard in Enugu State.


According to reports gathered by The Punch,the sad incident happened on December 4,2023 at Umuagu Inyi, in the Oji River Local Government Area of the state.

The Community Leader, Barrister Ben Obi who spoke with Newsmen, revealed that the issue started a few weeks back when the mother reported the suspect,who was also a drug addict, to the Kinsmen for wanting to kill his younger brother, and further implored on them to chase him away from the house.
Speaking further,Barrister Obi stated that the suspect killed and buried his mother in a shallow grave at their backyard after she returned from a condolence visit at Akpugoeze.
He also revealed that the suspect confessed to killing his younger sister who had been reported missing for two weeks before he had issues with his mother.

On coming back and not seeing his mother, it was reported that the younger brother raised an alarm.
The police were invited and the remains of the mother and sister were exhumed and deposited at the mortuary.
According to the graphic video on the Internet, the mother's body had blood coming out of her ear after she was dug out and her corpse was still fresh.

The sister's corpse was also exhumed but it had already decomposed, her remains were gathered in a blue plastic bag.
Before her death, Mrs Charity Orji was said to be a hustling woman who sold fufu to feed her family.
