The group in a press release signed by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem read: “President Tinubu has before now been an advocate of the rule law and respect for court orders which informed his decision to be part of NADECO and the fight against military junta and dictatorship.
“The entire South East geopolitical zone is waiting earnestly to receive their son Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as the Supreme Court decides on his matter come 15 December, 2023.
“The apex sociopolitical youth group in the South East geopolitical zone call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be a Hero by releasing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from DSS custody.
“We will celebrate President Tinubu for upholding the rule of law and respecting the Court judgement releasing Nnamdi Kanu from DSS custody.
“The unconditionally release of Nnamdi Kanu will prove that President Tinubu says and stand by what he professes and fought for in the past during the military era.”
The group said it is sure that if Nnamdi Kanu is released, the insecurity in the South East will be a thing of the past.
Kanu has been in detention for over two years since his arrest in Kenya in 2021, and his extraordinary rendition to Nigeria, despite court orders for his release.
He had earlier been granted bail in 2017, but failed to honour his court appearance as he was alleged to have jumped bail.

ReplyDeleteFederal government have no justification detaining Nnamdi Kanu, The man has no case. They should Free him ASAP.
ReplyDeleteThunder fire all of you with that nonsense you spilled. If Tinubu has to release a terrorist to become your hero, he doesn't need your extollation. You don't like him and have never praised him before. Even if he turns Nigeria to Dubai, you won't praise him. Hypocritical bunch. You can save your hero worship for Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa and Peter Obi as usual. Nonsense

ReplyDeleteMost of us have no business with MNK, Simon Ekpa and other cohorts, we just want an enabling environment to live our lives or have any of the propounders of Biafra showed us anything better thay what we are seeing in Nigeria?
