  2. Good morning to y'all on here.
It's a start to the weekend and πŸ‘‹ do have ample fun.

    Proverbs And Its Meaning
Honesty is the best policy- To be honest is rewarding.

No cross, no crown- Without problem there could be no solution.

When there is life, there is hope- When one is still existing, one can further improve his or her lots.

Two wrongs can never make a right- When one person is annoyed, the other one should be level headed.

It's a wrap on proverbs and kinikan kinikan.

Father, thank you for this Friday. Thank you for seeing us through another work week and bringing us to the weekend.
Lord we are truly grateful for the opportunity to embrace life anew, for the opportunity to give you praise and seek your forgiveness for any sins we may have committed.
Abba father search our heart's and remove anything that draws us away from your presence, cover us with the blood of Jesus Christ and protect us from the evil of the morning, noon and night. Thank you Lord for we know you have answered our prayers in Jesus name πŸ™

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF. PART SIXTY- FOUR

How do the "Emotionally Neglected Child" cope?

Emotionally neglected children often develop coping mechanisms to navigate the challenges they face. Some common coping strategies include:

1.) Self-Reliance: They may learn to rely heavily on themselves, becoming self-sufficient and independent to meet their emotional needs.

2.) Suppression of Emotions: Some individuals may suppress their emotions as a way to avoid the discomfort associated with expressing and confronting them.

3.) Withdrawal: Emotional neglect can lead to withdrawing from others to protect oneself from potential rejection or disappointment.

4.) Hyper-Independence: A strong desire to be self-reliant and avoid depending on others for emotional support may develop as a coping mechanism.

5.) Intellectualization: Focusing on intellectual pursuits and rationalizing emotions instead of experiencing them on a deeper emotional level.

6.) Seeking External Validation: Some individuals might seek validation and approval from external sources, such as achievements or relationships, to compensate for the lack of emotional validation in childhood.

7.) Developing Defense Mechanisms: Building defense mechanisms, such as sarcasm, humor, or deflection, to deflect from deeper emotional issues.

8.) Engaging in Risky Behaviors: Some may turn to risky behaviors as a way to cope with emotional pain or seek excitement and validation.

9.) Creating Emotional Distance: Developing a protective emotional distance from others to avoid potential hurt or rejection.

10.) Overachieving: Striving for perfection or overachievement as a way to gain recognition and validation.

While these coping strategies may provide temporary relief, they often come with limitations and can contribute to long-term challenges. Seeking therapy and support can help emotionally neglected individuals explore healthier coping mechanisms, process past experiences, and build more fulfilling and authentic connections with themselves and others.

  7. Walk As He Walked!!
    1 John 2:5-6.

    Excerpts!!

"Being born again, the love of God is already perfected in us. His love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who lives within us (Romans 5:5)."

"You possess the fullness of God's love in your heart. You can love as He loves. That’s why the Bible enjoins us to."

"Never be intimidated by the challenges that you face, no matter how tough they are; walk as Jesus walked! Today, you’re the manifestation of Him, you’re the expression of Him. This is what true Christianity is—living the Christ-life—the unveiling and outworking of Christ in and through you."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I thank you for the profound truth of your Word that's building my spirit strong and transforming my life from glory to glory. Your love is perfected in my heart, and it flows through me to bring succour to a hurting world. I'm the expression and manifestation of Christ; His glory, power and righteousness today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  11. WHAT MATTERS

Brethren i really want to let you in on what actually matters.
That you have a good job, flourishing business, car, house of your own, children, good connected friends etc. Is not the most important thing, if in this life, you have it all, you lack nothing but you don't have Jesus in your life, i want to tell you that a beggar in the street who have Jesus is better than you.

A life outside christ is a life of pain at last. Remember the story of the rich man and lazarus in the bible in luke 16:19-31. Many people today are bent on having a good life, acquiring properties and securing contracts worth millions and billions but few are striving for eternal life. Few are working to secure a life of bliss in christ.
Many are standing with God only on a 10 percent scale, if you are for christ, you must have to give him 100percent.

Incorporate Jesus in all that you do.
Are you a business man, run your business with him, let all you do reflect him. Introduce Jesus to your colleagues, discuss Jesus.
Work in his vineyard, be holy and remain holy in all that you do.

Do not be carried away by the corruption of this world. When others are promoting sin, promote righteousness. Remain righteousn and run after righteousness daily.

Day to day activities of a man without Jesus is vanity. Eccl 1:14 in Ecc 4:6 it is better you have God than you have it all but yet have nothing.

We are just pilgrims in this earth, once you are here, obey the clarion call, serve God and keep serving till he calls you home.
But do not forget that the big day is coming, that day of pain for the sinners, and rest for the righteous. That wonderful day that our saviour Jesus christ will appear and take those who are ready home.

Do not gamble with your life, by saying you will repent today or tomorrow or when you marry or when you are getting older, because you might not know when your time will be up. To procrastinate repentance is risky.
Many do not want to repent because righteousness to them is boring. But the end will justify.

That sweet and enjoyable lifestyle you are living today will only beget eternal pain for you tommorrow. Hell is real, heaven is real. Do not repent when your flesh have died, because that will no longer matter. Repentance is now that you are still alive. Repent now that there is still time for you. If not you will REGRET it.

  21. Which is correct?
    A. Stand on your feet; let's pray.
    B. Rise to your feet; let's pray.

    πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

In my classroom on WhatsApp, one of my students asked a question thus: πŸ‘‡

Please, someone should help me out here. Which one is correct?

    (a) Stand to your feet
    (b) Stand on your feet
    (c) Rise to your feet
    (d) Rise on your feet

My response was: "C is correct". ✅

Rise/Get to your feet means to stand up after you have been sitting.

    For example πŸ‘‡
Rise to your feet; let's pray.
    OR
Rise to your feet; let's say the closing prayer.

There are other words that collocate with "to your feet"; they include "get, jump, leap, etc."

    For example:

John rose/got/jumped/leapt to his feet and ran outside.

A different expression that's often mistaken for "rise to your feet" is the popular "stand on your own (two) feet" which means to be independent.

This is the way it's explained in Cambridge dictionary πŸ‘‡

Stand on your own (two) feet: This means to be able to provide all of the things you need for living without help from anyone else.

    For example πŸ‘‡
Learn to stand on your own (two) feet.
She'll have to get a job and learn to stand on her own two feet sooner or later.
    πŸ’₯πŸ”₯❤️

    I'm rooting for you!✌🏾

he that finds a wife finds a good thing and OBTAINS FAVOUR FROM GOD. Anonymous @15:23, there's lots of benefit to men in marriage..."

A male anon on yesterday's chronicles stated facts in view of the reality on ground, asking what a modern man stands to benefit from marriage nowadays, and a female dropped this comment above, implying that so long as he finds a wife, he obtains favour from God, so marriage is beneficial for a manπŸ˜‚

Let me school you a bit..

The book of Proverbs is featured in the Bible’s “Wisdom Literature.” It contains practical guidelines and moral principles for developing sound character and making wise and beneficial decisions in life. Various topics are explored within Proverbs, including marriage and family. One such tenet for wise men suggests that “he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22, ESV).

It’s important to understand that the proverbs are not meant as divine promises or guarantees. These maxims are general principles. Both positive and negative statements about wives appear in Proverbs. For example, Proverbs 19:13 remarks that “a quarrelsome wife is like the constant dripping of a leaky roof.” Proverbs 25:24 sagely warns that it’s “better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.” Further stressing the point, Proverbs 21:19 says that it’s “better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.”

On the other hand, “a prudent wife is from the LORD,” says Proverbs 19:14. So, we can be confident that Proverbs 18:22 implies that He who finds a GOOD wife obtains favor from the Lord. Proverbs 12:4 confirms, “A wife of NOBLE character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

Some versions of the Bible have also correct these verse to "he who finds a GOOD wife".. a GOOD wife is a woman who brings something tangible and valuable to the marriage. Not over used kpekus. Not someone who doesn't want to be accountable. Not bad and bitter character. Like don't want a wife that would kill us like Proverbs 12.4, 21:19, 25:24, 19:13 all warn..

  52. I need to share this here. Someone told us last night that he was going to Ibadan last month. Went to the park they told him 20k+ as transport fare. He felt the money was too much and decided to enter along. He stood at gwagwalada road with other passengers. They saw a Hilux and flagged it down. He stopped and carried four of them. When they got to lokoja the man told them he needed money to buy fuel. He asked them to pay 8k each so that he can use it and buy fuel as he carried them because of fuel money. They happily paid. He entered fuel station and bought fuel. When they left the fuel station the car started jarking. He stopped. The car refused to start. He begged them to help him to push the car. That is how all of them came down. Left all their belongings inside the car to push the car. The car finally started and the man drove off with their belongings 😭😭😭. They thought it was a joke but they never saw the man again. It's a new trend of robbery. Please be careful.

A guy bought a used television from his mum's neighbour and was heading home with it when a police van stopped beside him, they asked him questions and when he couldn't produce the receipt, they arrested him. Since yesterday, he has been locked up, the woman that sold it to him has gone there, neighbours who witnessed the sale had gone there, they refused to let him go.
This morning, they said his family should pay 50k before releasing him. They said after interrogation, he doesn't have any job, so therefore, he is a either a Yahoo boy or a petty thief.
    Police is your friend indeed!

  58. I heard in the news this morning that Lagos State government closed down some churches, mosques and others for noise pollution, can other states emulate this great feat pls?

Meanwhile, the bombing of civilians in Kaduna is gradually being turned into propaganda. They are now saying it was intentional, calling for the removal of the army commanding officer there, major general Okoro.
I see a religious crisis brewing in the North if the utterances of these religious groups and leaders are not cautioned.
