Diezani who is reportedly in the second stage of cancer implored Tinubu to permit her to return to Nigeria to confess to her financial misconduct during her tenure.
Speaking to the press in London after a medical visit, the ex-Petroleum minister, accused of embezzling billions of dollars from Nigeria, expressed her readiness to disclose details of the funds she allegedly misappropriated while in office.
According to Nigerian Tribune, she said, “I am now a born-again Christian and currently grappling with the second stage of cancer, for which my United Kingdom-based physician has advised me to continue medication for the rest of my life. Yes, no one is flawless, but sometimes, God Almighty permits such occurrences.
“I’ve been accused of financial misconduct during my tenure as the petroleum minister, and it’s true. However, I would like President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians to forgive me, allow me to return home, and contribute because life is transient.”
She went on to mention her association with Dauda Lawal Dare, the current governor of Zamfara State, to whom she entrusted over 9 billion dollars for safekeeping while he served as the Executive Director of First Bank Nigeria PLC.
She said, “My husband and my entire family members including my Nigeria lawyer based in the United Kingdom knew my relationship with Dauda Lawal Dare, the current Zamfara State governor whom I entrusted over 9 billion dollars for safe keeping while he was the Executive Director of the First Bank Nigeria PLC .
“Unfortunately, it has now come to a point that Mr Dauda Lawal is no longer picking my phone calls and even worked in Collaboration with UK police to put me under Surveillance, may be to claim the money I entrusted to him when I die.''
God will punish all of you. Mayvyou not survive that cancer
ReplyDeleteI don't feel pity for what you are going through honestly. But for the cancer I pray God comes through and heal you so you are healthy to be punished.

ReplyDeleteGreed is too bad.
ReplyDeleteDem don thief thief money. Thief now dey wail. When I said it was under Jonathan that the collapse of the Naira began, people thought I was saying rubbish.
ReplyDeleteTell me. How did Dieziani come across 9 billion dollars? And believe me, that is just the tip of what she has stolen. Under Jonathan, this country was looted dry. It became worse under Buhari. Central in all this is the CBN governor, Godwin emiefele.
Nigerian officials were openly siphoning crude oil into huge vessels and selling them to dealers in the open sea. Our navy was used to provide cover for them. It was so brazen that the Nigerian navy had no choice but to be engaged in the act as well. We are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars every week. This money does not come to the federation account. This money is paid in raw dollars or deposited at any foreign bank of choice.
Tunde Sabiu, Buharis cousin and former recharge card seller in Daura is presently a billionaire in dollars with a private jet to boot. That's a young man less than 40 years of age with no visible means of livelihood. People like this are all over Nigeria.
Dieziani can wail all she wants. She elicits sympathy from no one.
9 billion what???
ReplyDelete9 billion $….
ReplyDeleteUna mind no go touch ground. Polithiefchians😏🙄😏
ReplyDeleteGreedy and wicked woman 🤨🤨🤨
ReplyDeleteMultiply 9b by 1000, you get 1trillion. Add others stolen before by every single office older and you know why we are where we are and stagnant.
ReplyDeleteYou get 9trillion*

ReplyDeleteI pray the pain increases
I pray you suffer more than these .
Wicked woman
But isn’t that it. She got all the money in the world and has no good health or peace of mind. Anyhow, I don’t believe this request is coming from a truly contrite spirit, there is something underneath it, likely she needs to be in Nigeria to access something and that is why she is seeking a return, trying to set her family straight financially before her eventual demise.
Delete100% truth dear .
DeleteNigerians fear God o.
ReplyDeleteCan this country ever change?
May you never have peace Diezani for every naira/dollars you stole in the office may they hunt you till death.
ReplyDeleteNo peace for the Wicked 🤛🤛🤛
DeleteI pray for long slow and painful death not just for u but all the politicians that have stolen from this country to invest in foreign lands and give their children a better tomorrow at the expense of poor Nigerians.
ReplyDeleteDiziani you will not die now, you will live very long to ripe old age, but with pain and suffering, with cancer, more cancer and worse than cancer. Amen.
Since we don’t have the power to do anything to u and ur cohorts, we dnt have the police, the courts and the legislature, u shud know that we have God, and access to Him is free.
Na u spoil ur dance steps, by running away, if u had stayed back, after the initial gragra, by now u wud have been a senator. No be naija again??
We are powerless all by ourselves but we wud continue to tell the all powerful. Wallahi that money u ppl r looting will not give you the pleasure u want, u will suffer the way the average nigerian is suffering. God knows i am pained!!
What God wants from Diezani and other armed robbers like her is repentance and restitution. What God wants from us is to pray for her while encouraging justice to be done.
DeleteMtchewwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteCome where?
Vanity upon vanity= vanity
ReplyDeleteMay you not survive this cancer
ReplyDeleteAhhh this woman is very wicked o
9billion what
Nigerian don suffer no be small
Imagine that the $9 billion allegation is true.
ReplyDeleteImagine what that would do if sincerely put in University education, in revamping 1 University as a centre of excellence in 1 each of the 6 geopolitical zones of the Country.
Imagine.
But do not let your mind go to far.
Because the weeping or bitterness may be too much.
Especially as the allegation could just be the small tail of the tale.
And the preacher said
Psalm 62 : 9
Ecclessiastes 12 : 8
#theBibleisevertrue
Imagine what that amount could do for the Niger Delta region; that's like a slum! I told people that GEJ is the most idiotic president 🙄 Nigeria ever produced! Very lackadaisical human being! So this woman opened her eyes stole this kind of amount and went to put it in the hand of a notherner! May God not allow our crude oil and gas be a curse to our region! So she did not even have brain to think of sectors and jobs this funds; could have created! I can't speak for God; being he is a merciful God!!! Let God?'s judgement come upon all the wicked thieving leaders in Nigeria and across Africa!!!
ReplyDeleteI was one idiot guy?? Which gold did they mine in Zamfara to give the current governor the kind of assets he declared! All these ones are the people whose names where never in the book of life as in Rev13:8-9; they are bloodline of lucifer and nephilims and are doomed to eternity!
@ apologies for my typos 🙃 as 18:52; unnecessary phone call did not allow me edit properly; before posting! Please let's be discerning to know that; most Nigerian politicians are hell bound! Imagine the billions in $s; that have been misappropriated. Although I supported Obi; but does he even have the liver; to go after these rogues in cabals, that have destroyed Nigeria. Imagine the silly igbo guy arguing out of ignorance that the Zamfara governor brought people to mine their gold to declare the $billion assets! Insulting Niger Deltans; I kept telling; him; the guy is lying! My intuition has always been right!
DeleteThe way Nigeria is right now; is only God that will punish the evil politicians; because there is no ethnicity or religion in their thieving! Imagine Deziani ; who was with Shell; a woman from the Niger Delta region; stole that kind of funds and went to keep it with a Northerner!
If you share 1m each for Nigerians; there will still be monies left! They will never use the yeye NIN; to deposit monies in Nigerian citizens account; but is to stress Nigerians; who are gullible in trying to meet all their stupid deadlines! Glo that I registered my sim for NiN is telling me; I have not linked! I am waiting for them to block their yeye sim; so I can be free from their yeye services. Nigeria don cast!!! I live as a citizen of Zion; as the world is now; no where is even safe anymore! Let God continue to protect His own.
Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteMay you not come out of this successfully.
ReplyDeleteIt is well with her.
ReplyDeleteGod blessed us with Natural Resources and Natural disaster free
ReplyDeleteYou see these Politicians are the Natural Disasters fashioned against a Blessed Country like Nigeria
May God punish all of them that puts us into this Mess.
9 billion Dollars
Money that can turn the lives of all Nigerians, but they will rather have us begging on our Knees than see us standing Tall on our feet like the Giant of Africa that we are
All these WICKED POLITICIANS Una Mind no go touch Ground
Posterity will definitely judge una till Infinity
Every minute poverty kills a Child, Most Kids will never know what a warm bed, Balanced Diet and a conducive Environment looks like until they are blessed by the Universe.
Why won’t crime be on the Increase when you’ve to fight for each Freaking breath
Awon were olosi, when they do evil they will want to use religion to cover their useless face. Most Africans do not know God, u stole money that is big enough to cater for the poor in this country, may God punish all this evil politician. Akunyili did not steal to survive. God I can't question you but why leaving the weaked and taken the innocent.
ReplyDeleteThis is the small small stealing that GEJ dismissed during an interview years ago. Even Buhari believes he ran a government of integrity when Tunde, a former recharge card seller is now a multi billionaire without any business. If 9 billion dollars is what is left, how much was initially stolen? If she got 9 billion, how much did the COS, SGF, first lady and president, junior colleagues, local and international collaborators get?
ReplyDeleteShe has realised that there is no honour amongst thieves and so, is using her final days to demand her pound of flesh. Note that she, a newly born again Christian, is not posturing for the return of these funds neither has she established a trust to have that money directly deposited in the accounts of fellow Niger Delta indigenes who were defending her looting them dry. She is clamouring for the money to be available to fund the luxurious lifestyle of her children.
All these in a country with churches and mosques on every street, chronically perpetuating noise pollution.
Those who are wishing death and more sickness on her are her sister's in the same Christ who came to save sinners and told them to forgive 7 times seven and turn the other cheek.
Be careful when standing in judgement, wishing people I'll instead of looking to secure a proper trial and conviction. Most Nigerians rob Nigeria, the difference is just a matter of scale.
Diezani has responded by saying that the purported news as alleged did not emanate from her.
