Power intoxicates. I remember a topic in the university my lecturer gave as term paper. "Sweetness and power, the place of politics in modern history". It is what it is.
That would mean it also corrupted Obi since they are at least two people in this picture. Did Amaechi not go against his own boss, Odili? Did Obi not actively work to whither down the APGA legacy of his own godfather in the east, stabbing his party in the back to retain his seat? Did Obi not work for Atiku despite all of Atiku's efforts to end the career of a political helper and shield in the person of Jonathan.
The actual lesson here is respect for authority. Despite the PDP losing in court for Obi to come back to office, they didn't harrass the judiciary or attack the privacy and integrity of justices and their families. They accepted the ruling of the court and even worked with Obi to achieve a national agenda. They didn't pretend as of Obi didn't win at the court. This respect for laid down rules, written and unwritten is what has helped Wike and what Obi should go and rehearse and remember as this has helped him overcome challenges in the past. Seriki goma...
Such is life o… Even Peter no loyal to his own mentor. If he was, he would have been in a better place politically. But his greed at the time made him turn his back on the party that Ojukwu left in his care. We are so soon to forget. Because of sentiments Nigerians will throw away truth. All of them have been betrayed and them also betrayed their own Oga.. Shilkena
@anon 16:23, then Wike and the likes did not betray anyone. They simply wanted more. They didn’t want to remain on the same spot so they did what was necessary for them to progress so did your “saint” Peter obi. So rest I beg you.
