Oluwatoyin Olarewaju Tella aka Mummy G.O, whose DNA test revealed that her husband was not the biological father of all her four children, has revealed why she did it
. According to her, she discovered after marrying her husband in 2007 that he was unable to perform in bed. To keep this secret from their church members and the public, she decided to have children with other men.
She stated, "Never you blame or curse me for what DNA test brought out. My husband can’t perform at all, and I tried to hide this secret by meeting other men outside for us to have children".
She also suggested that her husbands family should find another woman for him to sleep with to confirm her claims...
So if the man cannot perform at all in bed, why in heavens name did he insist on having a DNA test when he knew none of the kids are his? This story is not connecting.....Let me wait for the man to defend his manhood.

It won't even reveal if you're the only one your partner had been sleeping with. I think it's really unfair, if I have to invest my emotions, time and resources on something that I can't even ascertain that I owned. Not to talk of raising kids that are not mine.

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the book "Baba Segi's wives" by Lola Shoneyin, I think. It is likely that other marriages may be affected by this revelation as she may have gone for married men with children who will not come back to ask for their children. May God be with them all at this time.
If you suspect your husband is shooting blanks, both of you should explore the issue medically so you have receipts and make sure your conscience and both families are on the record for a chosen alternative. It should also be important for couples to test medically before marriage if they are medically capable to have children in addition to the other investigations and blood tests.
My guess is that this woman probably had been pregnant before marriage so was sure of her status but panicked when there was delay. Men don't know if they are shooting blanks or have a low sperm count so she put two and two together to cover her behind. This betrayal of trust is rather painful and uncalled for.
The man's problem may be temporary and with her support, he could father his own child after a while. For some men however, it's medically impossible and in those days, it was the brother's kinsmen that stood in to bear children in his name, swearing an oath to keep the secret till death no matter how well the child turned out. In today's world of artificial insemination, there is even no need for the wife to be intimate with her brother in law and they can easily have children by having his sperm introduced into her.
In marriage, rather than be clever by half, be naked and not ashamed, bearing each others burdens.
I hope there is psychological support for the victims of this deceit as their story is on the internet forever. It is well.
And she may still be lying as to the father of the children to protect him by presenting that she just picked up men.
