I sometimes wonder what happened to the oath doctors took before practicing and reconciling it with "bring money, deposit money" before treatment commences. The number of avoidable deaths resulting from this money matter is too much.

DeleteThere has been cases of saving the life first at the hospitals and when the patient recovers,they abscond, which means the health workers on duty in that department will have their salaries deducted to foot bills of the absconded patient.
If your husband/wife is the doctor,nurse or other health workers, would you not encourage them to request for deposit at least before commencing treatment.
Secondly relatives are usually empathetic and would pay when the patient is in danger, once the person is out of danger a lot would back off and a situation where the person doesn't have, wahala pro max.
