  4. Set Your Focus On The Word!!
    Acts 20:32.

    Excerpts!!

"The Bible doesn’t tell you to build yourself with the Word; it says the Word will build you. So, all you have to do is digest the Word; have it inside you so that you can talk it and live it. The Bible says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” (Colossians 3:16)."

"Not only is the Word able to build you up, it’s able to give you an inheritance. Maybe your friend got a large inheritance from his grandfather that made him rich, but you didn’t quite get anything from yours; it makes no difference. Your inheritance in Christ supersedes and outclasses any inheritance you could ever get in this world."

"But Satan, being a rebel, may try to cheat you out of God’s best. Stand your ground and keep your focus on the Word of God. Every so often, declare, “I’m what God says I am, and I have what God says I have. The whole world is mine."

    Confession!!

Dear Father, your Word is my guide, my strength and my inheritance. I grow and flourish in every area of my life; I'm built up and strengthened by the Word. Thank you for the power and glory of your Word in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  8. PICK THE RIGHT PEOPLE

'These were...the mighty men whom David had.' 1 Chronicles 11:10 NKJV

Success in any endeavour calls for surrounding yourself with the right people. That's why it's good to seek God's input in your relationships. Rehoboam should have listened to the advice of his father Solomon's wise and experienced inner circle. Instead he heeded the advice of those who agreed with his own opinion - and it proved fatal. David, on the other hand, chose people who helped make him great. 'These were...the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the Lord concerning Israel' (1 Chronicles 11:10 NKJV).

Notice four important things here: (1) David built a strong inner circle before he needed it. He started building his team long before he was crowned. (2) He attracted people with varied gifts. He reached for them, rewarded them and wasn't intimidated by those who had skills that differed from his. With the help of these 'mighty men', David felt ready for anything. (3) He cultivated loyalty. He drew people close to him, shared his life with them and, in the end, they were willing to lay their lives on the line for him. (4) He delegated responsibility based on ability. Because he was secure in his own identity and calling, David wasn't afraid to delegate authority and responsibility to those around him. In the beginning some of his mighty men were misfits (see 1 Samuel 22:1-2), but he transformed this ragtag group into a winning team. David made his inner circle great, and in turn his inner circle made him great. So, the word for today is - pick the right people!

  11. LONG POST WARNING: Please ensure you read to the end.
So, yesterday at the filling station, I decided to fill my tank for the very first time since the fuel subsidy removal.
When I got to the pump, the attendant asked me "Oga, how much? I said, fill up". In disbelief, he asked, "make I fill am?" I replied "YES" fill am. He then asked, "cash or POS?" "Cash" I said.
He pushed the nozzle into my fuel tank and started dispensing. When the metre reading was N20,000, he said Oga na N20,000 now o, make I continue? I replied "continue". When it was N30,000 he paused and asked again, "make I continue? At this time, I became irritated and shouted at him to continue. So, he continued to dispense until it got to N43,500 and voila! My tank was full and started spilling over, then he stopped.
Wow! I chuckled and smiled to myself for this very rare achievement. I counted the money and gave it to him, raw cash! I entered the car and started the engine and my Guage rose and was standing at full attention for the very first time in 6 months. I felt a sense of accomplishment within me and I said to myself, "O boy, na man you be!"As I was about driving out of the filling station, my wife tapped me on the shoulder and said "Honey, wake up, wake up, eba don ready!

Oh my God! I said. So, it was a dream!

  12. Reno Omokri had this to say on the Nationwide strike currently ongoing in Nigeria whilst simultaneously mocking the NLC President

This current nationwide strike, called by Joe Ajaero's Nigerian Labour Congress strike, is the stupidest strike ever in Nigeria. You hold a strike because of what happened to one man, Ajaero, in one state, Imo, and the funniest thing is that the strike is not being observed in Imo, which is in a celebratory mood over Uzodinma's victory. So, other states are being punished for what happened in Imo while Imo is celebrating, even as Ajaero is crying. What an irony!

A worker lost his hand in a Lagos factory fire, and the Nigerian Labour Congress did not go on strike and the firm was not punished or brought to justice. MohBad died, and the NLC said and did NOTHING till this very today. Naira notes were scarce, workers experienced hardship, and Ajaero's Congress did not go on strike. Chinedu and Omama were burnt to death in Onitsha in front of a cheering crowd, and the NLC was silent. But when thugs beat Ajaero after he went to interfere in a gubernatorial election, the Nigerian Labour Congress goes on strike.

Does the NLC exist to serve Nigeria and Nigerians or to worship Joe Ajaero?

  13. Nnamso is such a cry cry baby!❎
    Nnamso is such a crybaby!✅

Cry cry baby is a nursery rhyme which many Nigerian teachers in primary schools and kindergarten often sing to children who're crying.

That seems to be the etymology of the phrase, cry cry baby.

Etymology refers to the origin or history of a word.

    Listen to ME.

Cry cry baby is NOT Standard English.

The standard version is crybaby. It's what you'll find in any reputable dictionary.

    Crybaby has two related meanings.

First, crybaby means someone, usually a child, who cries a lot without good reason.

In other words, it means a person, especially a child, who's often too emotional and sheds tears frequently or readily.

Further, crybaby means a person, especially an adult, who complains too much, usually in a whining manner.

Let ME tell you a story.

I remember the first day we took Nnamso, my niece, to Gladys Cookey Nursery and Primary School, University of Port Harcourt.

Nnamso was 2 years old then.

After the registration formalities, I went to hand her over to her class teacher.

Swiftly, she wriggled out of my hand and ran to my sister who was standing by our car.

She grabbed her left foot, and cried in a high-pitched voice, "Mummy, nooooo!"

Quite surprised, I walked up to her and said:

"Daughter, go to your teacher, okay? Go to class and learn ABCD."

"Aunty, nooooo!" was all she said.

Tears flowed freely down her cheeks.

Her mum patted him consolingly on the head and said:

"Now, it's okay Desire. Go to your school aunty; she's waiting for you."

NB: Desire is Nnamso's English name.

"Mummy, nooooo!" Nnamso wailed as she continued to cling to her mum, weeping inconsolably.

It was a real drama as the teacher drew near and tried to wrestle her away.

The little lad wailed and wailed and wailed.

Thereupon, the teacher began to sing the popular Nigerian nursery rhyme:

"Cry cry baby, are you not ashamed? Leave your mummy, leave your daddy and go to school!

Cry cry baby, I want to see my mummy. Shay shay shay, shame!"

My sister stood rooted to the spot. Tears welled up in her beautiful eyes.

    I said:

"O girl, don't start your own o! Please don't get me teary-eyed here. We'll be back to get her at 12 noon, okay? Or are you also a crybaby?"

She smiled and blinked the tears away.

"You won't understand the bond between a mother and her daughter!", she said.

    "I think I do", I replied.

As we drove home, she asked ME:

"Which one is correct sef: crybaby or cry cry baby?"

    And I responded: πŸ‘‡

"Cry cry baby is the nursery rhyme which many Nigerian teachers in primary schools and kindergarten often sing to children who are crying."

    Etc…

Now, go back to the beginning πŸ‘† of this post and read my response again.
    *wide toothy smile πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜€

    Got any value reading this?

  15. Reno Omokri makes a case for Nigerians made to write IELTS et al by foreign countries

How can the UK, Canada, and Australia ask Nigerian graduates to take IELTS and TOEFL to prove they can speak English when Nigerian universities have even produced a Nobel Laureate in English Literature? The author of one of the most successful books in the English language of the last century (Things Fall Apart) was the product of a Nigerian institution. England itself is now a consumer of Nollywood movies. Yet, they say we can't speak and understand English? Where is the Commonwealth's advantage? China is making inroads into Africa. If these artificial roadblocks are not removed, Africans and Nigerians may look Eastward until we have built sufficient capacity locally.

Reno Omokri on Rapper Oladips' demise

First MohBad, and now Oladips. The similarities in the manner of their passing are eerily unnerving. Sudden illness. Allegations of self-medication. Rushed to a hospital. And then death. This is one dΓ©jΓ  vu too many.

Perhaps it is time for the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria to approach a Health Insurance provider to offer their members affordable, accessible and quality healthcare with HMOs.

And sensitisation and awareness need to be increased amongst the entourage of these artistes on what to do in an emergency. Knowledge saves lives. Their posse needs to possess information on the right way to apply first aid if they must be around them. Let's think of solutions, not just blame.

We do not need tributes for our artistes. We need long lives for them. It is a significant loss to Nigeria when young, talented entertainers, capable of rebranding our image internationally, meet untimely deaths.

May God grant the family, survivors, and fans of Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji the fortitude to bear their loss.

And from the perfect compassion of Allah is that, He doesn’t just stop at telling us that we will be tested with fear, hunger, etc. He knows that will make us worried.

He goes on to say that “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear” (2:286).

  20. SALVATION
    John 3:16

What do you think about you breathing in bad air everywhere you go, anytime any day. You Don't need to be a doctor to know that the continous inhaling of this bad air will harm you at a certain point in your life.

This is the way the life of a sinner is, you keep inhaling polluted air, at a point you are tired, you feel like you are suffocating, you become desperate for fresh air, but you find it difficult to get it, or continue in it, you begin to wonder, why is it so difficult for me to continue in this new path, why can't i just adapt to this.
What you Don't know is that, there are demons, principalities, powers that are bent on keeping you in darkness, they want you to keep inhaling this polluted air in other to keep your mind too busy for God, too interested in sin and in the flesh in other to inherit the kingdom of hell, where you can only come out, when Jesus christ cease being king(which can never happen).
HELL is a horrible abode, a dark place filled with stench of dead rotten burning flesh.
Housing demons of various kinds that don't get tired of drilling your soul in various wicked degrees and dimensions.
There is no mercy there, mercy ceases the day you leave this earth. No matter how you wail there, your cries is nothing to God.

The torture of hell is horrible, it is a place where you should not even experience. Don't even wish it on your enemy talk more of yourself.

Hell is a dangerous place to be. Do not fall into that place. Jesus christ is here to give you a life that will have you celebrating forever.

He has come that you may have life in abundance.
You can't find salvation outside christ. Acts 4:12 John 14:6

Are you thirsty for a change in your life, are you tired of your sin, do you need a new experience that will profit you much, then come to Jesus Heb 7:25 Rev 22:17.

The soul of every sinner is empty with the word which is Jesus, but when you come to him, he fills you up with him.
He said in his word, the thoughts he has for you is the thought of good, to bring you to an expected end.

Child of God, stop hating yourself and come to Jesus today, he is desperate to cuddle you like a baby in his awesome hands, and show you the kind of love you have not experienced. He loves you deeply despite those abominations you have commited. He cares not. He does not judge you based on what you have done, as far as you are willing to repent, he is ever ready to welcome you.
He can only judge you when you have refused to turn from your evil ways.

Oh witch please come to Jesus

Adulterous woman, sleeping with your boss, sleeping with your ex, sleeping with your inlaw, sleeping with your side whatever please come to Jesus

Oh prostitute please come to Jesus

Oh liar, armed robber, ritualist, gossiper, etc.
    Come to Jesus
He is waiting for you today.
Tommorrow might be very late for you.

Please repent and give your life fully to him.

    Rom 10:10
    Say this prayer of salvation

Dear lord jesus, I'm sorry for all my sins, please come into my life, i believe you died on the cross of calvary for me, and on the 3rd day you rose again, please come and be my lord and personal saviour. Please Wash away my sins and bring me into your loving light. Amen

  35. FUNNY FACT πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚: It's funny to know that you have a funny bone, yeah!! No Jokes...Actually, the funny bone is not actually a bone but a nerve that runs from your spine, down to your elbow to your pinky finger....

Ever wondered why if you bump your elbow against an object, you get an electric, tingling sensation that makes you wince in pain while chuckling and laughing at the same time....That is where the name FUNNY BONE came from...

    Now you know ☺
