  3. Irapada could mean rebirth. The African Traditional Religion (ATR) and some white garment churches believe that a person's life could be saved or extended by this practice or their fame/wealth could be established by it. My MIL says the popular serial husband who is a fuji musician did this years back to "blow" in a mega way. It was after the success of his irapada that he released "bobo no go die unless to ba darugbo" and has remained relevant ever since. .

Sometimes, an animal is buried alive on land or taken to the middle of the sea and dropped there to drown by itself. This is usually done for sick/sickly people, people who constantly have nightmares or premonition of evil/death or those who want to "blow" like transformer overnight. These are all valid religious practices by those who believe in them just the way Christians and Muslims believe their ways and methods are the best.

What happens afterwards is either that the person who afflicted the patient would die in their stead (just like the back-to-sender or die-by-fire prayerthon in some churches) or the person recovers from their sickness or becomes highly successful in their trade or craft. The white garment churches (WGC) do theirs with prayers and animals while some traditionalists do theirs with animals and/or human sacrifice. Some people are wrapped with white clothes, put in a coffin and left there for 7days with no food or water. Very common amongst y@hoo boys who believe this would ward off whatever evil punishment they deserved due to their criminal activities and the curses placed by their victims.

Superior to this is the one called "Ajidewe" usually done for very affluent individuals or traditional rulers. This many believe is what was done for the former president to save and elongate his wick€d life🤐. They keep doing human sacrifices with young people or with pregnant women to renew their strength, look younger and live longer. The pregnant woman does not necessarily have to d!e. She will just keep suffering miscarriages or having stillbirths and since there are so many wives in the palace or homes of the man, nobody suspects anything.

Other regular traditional people just use an egg or coconut over their heads or children's heads when they are sick or have an evil premonition to ward off evil or send it back to the "attackers" and break it at T-junctions.

These are the reasons why in Africa, you are expected to wait for the 2nd cockcrow before stepping out of your home. The first is to tell the spirits to give way to humans and the 2nd is to announce to humans that the coast is clear to step out for the day. *people who go to work on the Island from the mainland left the group chat😂🤣* Lagosians wey dey fess cock wey wan crow sef wake and meeuuve. Dey play.

Many literature on the ATR reveal so much about ancestral beliefs (including similarities) among Africans, Latinos and Asians. E nor get juju wey dey Africa wey Chinko, Caribbean and Indians nor get X2. Abi na the oyinbo witches wey dey Great Britain and exorcism we wan talk? All well documented for those who have time to read or are in that line of study. Laslas, if na ONLY Jesus you get, hol am well o. Principalities full everywhere. Who watched the "Surviving Escobar" series? Especially the Season 2. Ha! E choke🤐

  9. Irapada matter long to explain and I'm not good in long typing.

    1. Coffin type, where a figurine representing the individual involved will be buried. Details long.

    2. Banana tree stump, same as 1, but no coffin. Both one and two will be wrapped in pure white material.

    3. Where an animal will be buried in place of an individual.
    And so many others.

But one thing is, it's being practices by some churches, Alfas and traditional believers. It is not only white garments churches that practice this.
It may surprise you people to know some so call penticostal and apostolic churches practice this too.

May we not be unfortunate in life.
