Congratulations
ReplyDeleteGood. Congratulations to him.
ReplyDeleteThis shouldn't be news in a society where everyone is treated as equals, and accorded same opportunities and privileges. Franklin Roosevelt won the 1932 presidential election in a landslide as a disabled person, that is an equal opportunity country.
ReplyDeleteIn Nigeria, we practice tokenism towards the disable or physically challenged. That is why we feel we have done something laudable when we give them one off appointments like this one.
All appointments made by the President are announced so it is news just like it was for other Nigerians that were appointed.
DeleteNot all appointments where announced. This was announced with a full photography of him in wheelchair to portray the government as disability friendly government. Besides, all this appointments are just duplication of roles. Their are units in the ministries of women affairs and ministry of sports that handles anything relating to differently abled persons
DeleteCongratulation to him
