ReplyDeleteNigerians. Ever so understanding of their oppressors but harsh on each other. A governor cannot fix any hospital just like all those in power for him or his family to use for knee surgery (they do 300/week in some hospitals here it’s almost routine) but they will cry at $ to Naira rate. This is why Naira keeps depreciating. That cost about $150k or more out of pocket depending on the hospital and if they don’t have health insurance since they reside in Nigeria where the “easy money” comes from. All I see is “congrats”.
ReplyDeleteA country where a man can be lynched for stealing $100 but those stealing $100m are hailed as heroes. It’s knee surgery, in 2023, a governor’s kid goes abroad to have it, Tinubu had it in the US too a couple of years back. Who did this to Nigeria? The owner of Cass in Victoria island is a reputable orthopedic surgeon in Washington DC area so the people they steal $ to come and use here are there already. Except that the money goes to big hospital systems and our people working their earn onky a fraction as private individuals cannot easily set up hospitals here. The only constant factor is these bad leaders, looters and their families stealing from Nigerians and spending it abroad. Don’t tell me “Gov’s family” has money, he did not, his brother and his brother’s son did. The reason they wanted him to get into politics. At least the wives exposed their cash flow situation.
Naija youths I join you in congratulating🎊him and pray that when you need health care in your local hospital in Lagos, osogbo or Ibadan or PH you will get something close to decent as una no dey too think deep. Where are the Gani Fawehinmis, Tai Solarins of this generation to stir your critical thinking skills beyond nyansh and “BBN fans gifts”? Back then they will be all over criticizing genuinely and putting them all on their toes, the reason Dele Giwa was assassinated and Gani, Beko etc were always in detention. Now join the bandwagon. Nobody to tell truth to power. Young man what do you do for a living? How much did this cost and what proportion came out of your hard-work from any record sales Abi Osun folks paid Atlanta Hospital when they don’t have a good hospital in ilesha? Una go dey alright
